I don’t know why so many of you have a problem with the links and installation on the mac. I downloaded everything from the links posted above and had no problem. Unpacked and burned 2 CD’s and installed same on my mac. In parallel you have to install the soft on a windows pc. Run the keygen and enter the key in the mac. The updated to v6.5 and it runs flawlessly on my mac.

Would be nice if somebody would have a link to the update 6.6 for vue infinite (mac).

Alexliz told the truth. Activation codes from Pc won’t do for mac… Someone has an ideia for the activation in Os X?

Try this guys….

Install Vue Inf or Xstream 6.05. Get this working first then open the Options (File/Options). On the General tab – turn off (untick) ‘Allow network/internet connections’. You’ll get a warning etc – just click yes. Then click OK and close Vue. Then install the updates. Tried it this way and Vue stops calling back to E-On and seems to be stable.
Let all know if it works for you. I also found update to 6.6 so will upload that asap.

The Win keygen produces serial no and activation codes for the Win install only. I entered the serial no into my Mac OS X install, then installed Vue 6, but when it came to activating it I had to also install it on the Win side of things (within Parallels) so that the keygen would produce the activation code (it looks for Vue to be installed in Win, you see…) and then tried to use its activation code after clicking on the Activation Code button. Vue 6 (in Mac OS X) replied that the activation code was invalid. After 3 attempts it informed me it was now running in demo mode (i.e. watermarked renders plus no file exchange).

Bottom line: we need a keygen for the Mac version. The serials and activation codes from the PC/Win won’t do.

I am burning the .dmg file after using “Unarchiver” then with “Roxio Toast” to see if it works, because when you try to open it, it doesn’t work.
After some time…. IT WORKS!!!

I have spent a great deal of time trying to get version 6.5 working and here are all my findings.

First of all any patch available now that you apply to Vue Infinite of xStream will break Vue. Period. E-On have included some clever anti-piracy tricks and your Vue will crash after approx. 10 seconds.

I have downloaded all the xStream patches from the earliest to the latest. I have tried to patch in order, no luck. I have tried to patch from 6.05 to 6.60, no luck.

I have installed the final 6.05, backed up the folder, patched and then compared the files. A lot of the files are changed and there is no way of knowing where this Anti-Piracy code is.

I have even run w32 and w64 debugger to try and gleam a hint of what code is being run that breaks Vue but I could not find anything.

In conclusion, you either stick to 6.05 or wait for a new cracked release of 6.5+ to come out.

People who are claiming they have a working pirated 6.5+ are lying unless they modifed the code themselves, which I doubt since then the crack would be out there on the net.

the keygen does not work for mac as it looks for the installed software to generate the info. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US looking for the complete vue 6.5 infinite or stream for mac with serial and activation info that works.

Actually there is a keygen and update in the PC torrent version. Look for the Folder “Q” In the root directory of the iso
Now if only if it wasn’t so bloody unstable
Must find a better version >.>

for the difference i think that by default you get the infinite version and xstream is only a version of the infinite version, and you will ask what’s xstream for? oh yes it’s very useful for XSI users, with XSI xstream you can do scenes in Vue and then import it in XSI with all objects, environments, shaders… everything (which means that now there is a complete integration between these programs) and believe me this is very useful especially for the render time and result (XSI with mental ray is the best EVER)
