Uninstall all autodesk 2010 series and addons, remove C:\ProgramData\Autodesk
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk
%APPDATA%\Autodesk
%APPDATA%\..\Local\Autodesk
Then uninstall Maya 2010, works in Vista

If it weren’t for your revised instructions on how to install & register Maya I would not have been able to do so. Before coming across your comment I had installed and uninstalled about 3-4 times because I was making little mistakes so I kept on getting the “your key is not valid” message whenever I tried to enter the generated key. But after following your directions, I was able to successfully register Maya on my computer. So thanks so much for your help.
For others who need help, follow my instructions WITH Steven’s. These instructions are supposed to supplement his, to fill in the gaps.
Download Maya from the official autodesk website. They will make you register. Then install, if they make you enter a serial/product key just use all zeros. Then once you’ve finished installing, start up the program. A “would you like to activate now?” window will pop up. click activate. Then run your keygen. Then click on memory patch button. then type the request key from Maya activation window into the keygen. Then press the generate button. Then on the Maya activation window choose the “enter key now” button. click next. Then choose “paste key” and ctrl+v the generated key into the fill-in box. Then click next and you will get a thank you for registering message. Also, sometime during the process of activating, you will get a “enter serial and product key” message. In that case use as serial : 666-69696969, 667-98989898, 400-45454545 .. or anything matching this template and as product code : 657B1 (These are the keys that X-FORCE give us)

Type zeros (0) instead of the serial number and then activate when installed i believe.

ok so i downloaded the 32bit maya for windows and then the 4 32bit mirror files im a complete noob to this stuff i downloaded them and extracted them but now they’re all in one folder and there are lots of files to extract but i dont know if i trust the publisher i dont even know if im doing this right i saw a video on youtube and a guy had an xforce file that he used unfortunately he speaks arabic and i cant ask for a link this is so frustrating do i have to extrat all the files please reply asap i really want maya but i dont have 4000 dollars to fork over at the very least could someone tell me if i downloaded the right thing and if so how do i use it? thanks in advance

The mem Patch function is not working on my Windows 7 64-bit. I’m getting a “Could not get debug privilege! Are you admin?” but I am admin, is there a windows 7 thing to allow this, or do I need a different crack?

look this is it, i installed on a 32 bit windows xp machine with direct x updated :
YOU MUST HAVE MS DIRECT X installed and all updates to your os get this install to work :

Take your time with install and remove any previous versions, i use ccleaner to uninstall and clean registry !! You must do this in the EXACT ORDER here :

depending your OS, Architecture and previous installed product, you may be prompted to enter a serialor a product code, in that case you can use
as serial : 667-98989898,
and as product code : 657B1

1.If you want to install Maya 32bits in a 64bits OS, you need to use
the 32bits XFORCE keygen to activate your product
2.Make sure you are running the Keygen as administrator and with UAC off on Vista
but you have to anyway to install Autodesk products.
3.Make sure your system is updated with the latest directx and other little things you may need ..I included them on the disc

1.Install Autodesk Maya 2010 / if u get an error install the
2.Depending on your OS and architecture you may be prompted to enter a serial for installation, use above or
use 000-00000000
3.Finish the installation & restart Autodesk Product
to those have d3dx9_36.dll problem,

go to microsoft download page: download.microsoft.com
jump to DirectX page,u will find DX download on top,
File Name: dxwebsetup.exe
Version: 9.26.1590
Date Published: 3/23/2009
Language: English
download and install it,
now you wont get dll file error .

be offline (no wireless)
4.Choose to Activate
5.Once at the activation screen: chose activate now and open key gen, You must do this while activation screen is up !!!
start XFORCE Keygen 32bits version if you are installing a 32bits application and
64bits if you are installing a 64bits application.NOW U MUST
press MEMORY Patch !!!

6.Click on Mem Patch (you should see successfully patched message)
7.Copy the request code into the keygen and press generate
8.Now copy the activation code back to the activation screen and click Next it will say thank you for activation…
YOu have a fully registered autodesk product

I have your fix. It works for windows XP – 7. I tested it on all of them. What you need to do is modify your registry. There is one key in particular to fix.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Autodesk\Adlm\Autodesk\Maya\2010\AdLM]
Set the value to “Type”=dword:00000001

Now try to uninstall.
I found that it is a problem in their trial software that autodesk doesnt care about.

Search in google Splash.dll, download and put in maya folder, works fine for me!, here is where you can download: http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/S/Splash.dll/2,1,1,32/download.html

this error is because you probably have 3dmax an maya install together.

i notice no one knows about that uninstall bug cause i’m having the same problems and have no idea what to do, i’ve reformatted and thats fixed the problem, but once i’ve installed it based off of what everyone has been saying, it still wont uninstall, also im not sure if anyone else has got a splash.dll file missing upon start up. i get it about 3 times and then it starts up but in the render settings, i dont have mental ray rendering option 0.o alittle nerve racking but if anyone knows or has any idea what to do it would be awesomely appreciated

There is none. It uses a different system this time around. It’s about the only real change in this version. My first attempt did not work – mempatch function on keygen did not function properly. It failed to install, and then failed to uninstall. I had to use Revo Uninstaller to get rid of it (free from download.com). Trying again with another version.

Guys with this problem in uninstalling:
“1: 5: 2: Unable to obtain LicenseType value. RegQueryValueEx returned 3: 2″

I solved it uninstalling with this http://www.divxturka.net/applications/298332-autodesk-maya-2010-32bit-64bit-docs-more.html check the last program called “Your Uninstaller PRO 2008 version 6.2.1347″ it removes Maya 2010 and you can reintall it!.
