for fumefx I deleted this dll and it is working.
and I think it is normal for this one because if you go to custom install there is optional and it says it is for thinking particle
as we do not have it for the moment it might be the reason
You have to install a particle plugin, such as Cebas Thinking Particles V3.0, then you have to load in the customize menu.
I got the error fumefx dlo failed to initialize also. If anyone has a suggestion on what I’m doing wrong please help, loaded afterburn ok, got scatter to load, here is what i did:
using xp pro 32 bit, office word 2003, make sure your clip book is going,
network dde, and network dde dsdm going, you have to get the dsdm going first then the rest, for scatter, install the plugin to max 2010, open a scene, like scatter example or tutorial, go to environment under render tab, choose scatter, the authorize box shows up, make sure your port is set to 5002 in keygen, also make sure dcpflics is runnen, in the scatter authorize tab copy the computer id (request code really) into keygen, get the authorization code paste into plugin tab authorize, set the license to 90, then open a word document, go to edit clipboard you will have to hit the generate tab again under keygen usually, it will show you all the serials, copy paste all into cd key for scatter and this should do it. You can check under c programs dcpflics tool make sure it went. Thanks to the guys worken on these, fun to mess around in max and love the community here. I’m a newbie to max but love the art folks do with it.

How to license fumefx in Windows 7 ?

on windows 7 I did exactly as dreamscape and afterburn.
once install run 3dsmax )if you have the message that a dll fumeFX_pf is not found(or something like that) you can delete that file in a 3dsmax’s plugins folder (hope it is because we do not have thinking particle for the moment)
In max:
you do the same think as you want want to create a object so in the create panel- geometry you clik standart primite so you have a list so you click on fumefx and as you want to create a fumefx object it will pop up a windows so you click on autorise and they will give you a request code that you copy and paste in the keygen, once you click on generate you have a serial in the clipboard so be carefull do a paste it directly and then copy and paste the authorization code.

scatterVL pro does not work because it is not a 64-bit application :s

When you install ScatterVL it gives you the option to install 32bit or 64bit just like the other plugins but the 64bit version doesn’t work.
a ok because it does not ask me anything i.e if I want 64 or 32 bit
and when I try to uninstall it ask me for setup.ini

To Windows 7 users, you can’t activate any plugins that use DCPFLICS protection. (That would be the first three Sitni Sati plugins here).
It doesn’t support IE 8 yet. Since you can’t downgrade Internet Explorer in Windows 7, you can’t activate the plugins, making them useless.
I activate every plugins on 7
but that is maybe I use firefox

I don’t know as on xp, I had no problem, maybe you have your firewall that has make problem.
and I don’t understand why you need internet explorer?? the program ask you to go on internet?
and I have set firefox to default web navigator so maybe try to use firefox if not install on your computer
no dcpflics needs internet explorer for authorization…but ie8 is not compatible with this dcpflics…
but when exactly do you have the problem,?and what does it do ? you cannot use a dreamscape object for example?

when you have click authorize you have a window where is written a request code you ctrl+c it .
open the keygen make sure you are in fumefx mod (if you are licencing fumefx)
ctrl+v in request code section
click generate
then go back in the registration window where you pick the request code
ctrl+v in the serial number field
then ctrl+c the authorization code in the keyegen and ctrl+v in the registration window

My exact file problem is FumeFX_PF.dlo which I think is a particle Flow dlo not a thinking particles but I could be wrong. This installs even with the options not selected under the custom setup.

OK I found the fix everyone!
If you have installed the thinking particles from CEBAS found here at CGPersia the error is not concerning thinking particles if you reinstalled FumeFX after installing thinking particles.
Some of you may also be getting this error with or without options clicked in the custom install of FumeFX, which was my first clue that this is not a thinking particles issue.
I did a google search and came across a page that had the fix for the previous versions of Max, and after looking it lead me to the problem.
The FumeFX_PF.dlo is in the wrong place!
If you look it is in the options folder and max cannot find it in order to boot the dlo in start up.
The folder tree should look like this

I recommend saving the FumeFX_PF.dlo in a folder in case things go wrong. After performing this small adjustment 3dsMax 2010 boots fine and Fume FX is working fine.

so guys. those DLL errors everyones getting when they start max regarding pflow is a big problem. by max not reading these dlls, you are unable to get access to any of the pflow events reguarding fumefx. this makes rendering with products like Krakatoa (which im trying to do right now) impossible. we need to figure out a way to fix this DLL stuff !

DCPFlics.exe (the authorization server) is installed automatically when you choose to install any sitni sati plugin… (except Enlight and ScatterVL, they use the afterflics.exe server tool and require a whole other crack setup )
