note:
1. Start the installation (on Mac OS you must copy the content of the disk on your hard drive and run the installer from there).
2. During the installation, when you are asked to enter your serial number use the keygen to create one.
Don’t close the keygen yet and don’t generate a different serial, you’ll need to generate the activation code from the first serial otherwise it won’t work.
If by mistake you closed the keygen you can enter the serial number you used to register the program in the first (serial number) field of the keygen.
3. After installation, launch the program and activate it using the activation code you get from the keygen.
When you enter the code click on “Finalize activation”.
If you get an error about invalid activation code it’s because the MAC address used in the keygen is wrong.
This can happens if you have several network adapters on your system.
Simply try to enter the MAC address from the other adapters until you find the correct one (it’s the MAC address of the default ethernet adapter).
To get the MAC address on Windows open a DOS prompt and type “ipconfig /all”, the MAC address is the physical address (do not type the “-” signs in the keygen).
Under Mac OS X select “About this Mac” from the Apple menu. Click on “More Info…”, select the Network tab from the left menu and enter the MAC address of the Ethernet adapter (do not type the “:” signs in the keygen).
4. When you are in the program you can now enter the RenderCow serial number.
From the help menu select: “Register RenderCow Pack”, click on “Add” and enter the RenderCow code from the keygen.
5. Enjoy it!
NB : You can of course generate serial and activation on another machine, just don’t forget to enter the MAC address of the machine you are installing Vue 8 on in the keygen.
If something is wrong with your MAC Address, you can use the one that is written in C:\document and setting\All Users\Application Data\e-onsoftware\Vue 8 xStream.reg.
OR /Users/Shared/Vue 8 xStream.reg.
A random mac address is used if there is no network adapter.

Hi MadGik! Thanks for help me! But I did everything you tell. The problem is: after put the serial that keygen created and vue8 make a normally installation, when I open the program and asked about the authorization code, the number of the serial is another one that program suggests – with a prefix changed “INST” and suffix “VUE….”. I opened licensed text and there was the same serial got by keygen. I don’t know what’s going on?
I find VUE 8 much slower than Vue 7.2.
On my i7 running at 3.8Ghz… the same scene in Vue 7.2 takes 5 minutes to Render in Max 2009. But with Vue 8 in Max 2009 or 2010 I end up waiting closer to 25 minutes for the same frame.
Even in Vue itself, not using Max, Vue 8 is almost 4 to 5 times slower than Vue 7.2.
Anybody else getting the same issues here?
I´m having a lot of problems on 3DS Max 2010, I mean A LOT! Though in 2009 for it´s the same here, you´ve been sure you did the same set up on the scene in all the options?
, that´s why 3DS never is free of bugs and now XSI is having it´s as well.
On XSI 2010 it´s slower then 7.5, Autodesk always fucks up software when they put theirs filthy hands on it
I´ll test here if I find a solution I´ll post it.

If I remember correctly, e-on stated that the “presets”, such as “Production” quality in the Render Settings, were a good deal higher. So a “Production” quality render in Vue 7.2 might take 5 minutes, and the same “production” quality renderin in Vue 8 might take longer, because it is in fact, a higher quality setting.
I think thats correct anyway.

I see the same problems. VUE 8 is completely unusable for me under OS X. It can’t even finish rendering ONE frame in a VERY simple scene (basic terrain, basic atmosphere, and ocean plane and 1 tree). It locks up, hangs, crashes. I’ve got a 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 Gb of memory, with a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT, which should be more than enough hardware to complete a render– none of my other aps have any problems on this machine. E-on hasn’t been very helpful with this, so do any of you have any suggestions?

I have successfully installed Mac Os X Vue version…but when i try to load a scene or a plant…it says that doesn’t locate texture or that can’t read some files….why? to install vue on mac i copied all files on hard disk and i ran the vue installer!

So i had the same problem for ages! tried everything (changing the mac adress in regrestry) much esier way though: .
1. go to the network sharing center, and then to your local network adapter, properties. then configure. go to advanced and under that you will find mac adress.
2. because windows 7 is weird and only allows you to change the mac adress if the first two numbers are 12. Now try 120000000000,
3. this didnt work for me so i tried to get the random one that vue gives you in the supplied files however i couldnt find this at all..
4. so change it to something that wont regester as a mac adress e.g 12-f5-t5-63-65-fd, and then open the keygen, it will then generate the random mac adress which will work for both the serial and activation…
5. if it doesnt work first time fiddle around with the mac adress till it generates a random code for you. You will know when this code has been generated in keygen because it has no letters in it.

1 -change the mac address :

For all x64 users here. I’ve been poking around in the Vue8 files to get it activated on my x64 system using the keygen provided by xforce. Same as others here i couldn’t get it to work, until …
Here’s my solution :
- Open the “Vue xStream 8.reg” file in the folder “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\e-onsoftware”. The first lines will look like this :
$ROOT$
$MACHINE$
[SOFTWARE]
[e-on software]
[xStream]
[8]
Now, make sure the application is not started, change the last [8] to [2] and restart the application. It now asks for a new password and directly after that the activation code. This time it worked fine using the xforce activation keygen

Solution to change Reg file from 8 to 2 still did not work for me. It did prompt for a new username and company name but the activation still failed. I’m using Vista x64 Business Edition.

i wanted to use vue 8 independently and with 3ds max 2010 and vray (1.5 sp5 for 3ds max)
and i finally solved the problems.
i got similar problems as above like incorrect activation code and incorrect rendercow code.
this is how it got solved.
PLZ FOLLOW THE BELOW STEPS CAREFULLY.
1. must need correct mac address(to get correct codes from xforce keygen)
2. (this is for those who want to use it with 3ds max (2010 64bit) and vray 1.5 sp5 (3ds max 2010 64bit).) install 3ds max 2010 and then vray(with wibu keys).
3. double click “Setup.exe” in vue 8 folder or iso (or whatever)
4. install vue8 xstream.exe (i have not installed render node)
5. it will ask for serial. so use keygen to generate serial(be sure for ur mac address) and DO NOT CLOSE THE KEYGEN
6. now install rendercow. it wont ask for anything. BUT THEN AFTER INSTALLING PLZ IN THE END “UNCHECK THE BOX SAYING “START RENDERCOW WITH STARTUP OF WINDOWS(something like this)
7. now install “xStream plugins Setup.exe”. it wont ask for anything.
8. now start vue8. it will ask for activation code starting from “ACT”.
press “gen activation” and copy the activation code BUT DONT SELECT “ACT-” DURING COPY OF ACTIVATION CODE. JUST COPY THE REMAINING PART.(IT WORKED FOR ME)
9. paste that, where it is asked and press ok.
it says u have successfully activated and this copy is legal.(something like this). ENJOY.
10. now press gen rendercow lic. and copy the whole code to HELP>REGISTER RENDERCOW PACK.

5. it will ask for serial. so use keygen to generate serial(be sure for ur mac address) and DO NOT CLOSE THE KEYGEN
6. now install rendercow. it wont ask for anything. BUT THEN AFTER INSTALLING PLZ IN THE END “UNCHECK THE BOX SAYING “START RENDERCOW WITH STARTUP OF WINDOWS(something like this)
7. now install “xStream plugins Setup.exe”. it wont ask for anything.
8. now start vue8. it will ask for activation code starting from “ACT”.
press “gen activation” and copy the activation code BUT DONT SELECT “ACT-” DURING COPY OF ACTIVATION CODE. JUST COPY THE REMAINING PART.(IT WORKED FOR ME)
9. paste that, where it is asked and press ok.
it says u have successfully activated and this copy is legal.(something like this). ENJOY.
10. now press gen rendercow lic. and copy the whole code to HELP>REGISTER RENDERCOW PACK.

i was using vray 1.5 sp2 and 3ds max 2009 it was great.
then after vray 1.5 sp3 and sp4 was very slow like hell.
but vray 1.5 sp5 is the fastest one which i tested with my older max files rendered with vray 1.5 sp2.
BELIEVE ME 3DS MAX 2010 + VUE8 + VRAY WORK VERY VERY FAST WITH NO WATERMARKS.

before starting, i disabled all network adapters (computer management>hardware>network adapters) that were BS, life microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter and Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI)
i copied my main LAN mac adress to use in keygen
1.installed, ran keygen, used serial generated.
2.intstalled render cow
3.intalled plugins
4.ran vue, generated activation, failed!
5.ran cmd>ipconfig /all
6.seems to me that vue uses the first adapted in the ipconfig list, which my case was “Bluetooth device (personal area network)” , the last adapter i would have thought
7. changed keygen to use ^^ adapters mac adress, generated activated, pasted into vue, SUCESS!!
8.activated render cows

I always recieve intimation message that i have low disk space when ever i tried to render animation in vue 8, build 4xxx although i have 309 GB of space and i am using it on iMac core 2 ? can anyone help me?

i have my problem fixed in seven 64 bits by disabling my network ( i have 2 diferents mac adress) then i runed vue installation with keygen and vuala ! it work
just simple as that then i turned on again the network (all inside the computer, no router or modem was disconected)
I got it to work on OSX !!!! yipppieee
-what you do is you go to the file Vue 8.5 xStream.reg
-open it in text edit
-modify the mac address shown (ethernet) to your airports mac address
-save
Open Xforce keygen
use both the airports mac address and the serial shown in the .reg file
and voila !
Persistance always pays off !
Oh god finally I installed Vue 8.5 on my windows 7 (64 bit). I had to change my mac address. Used this link and downloaded http://www.klcconsulting.net/smac/default.htm#smac27
this simple software to change my mac address. I added the changed mac address to x-force and was able to find the working activation code. I hope this might help everyone who had the same issue.
