RealFlow Magazine: Scripting with RealFlow

Python scripting is one of the most powerful tools inside RealFlow.

Any fluid and dynamics artist who is seriously interested in professional results sooner or later has to deal with scripting techniques. With scripting it’s possible to overcome many of RealFlow’s limitations and introduce spectacular effects. Especially for beginners, but also for advanced users, it’s of course a real challange to learn a programming language. Nevertheless it’s almost unavoidable today, to know at least one language. Fortunately Python makes it rather easy to find access to the exciting field of scripting with RealFlow. On the other hand, RealFlow provides a tremendous richness of different instructions for almost any node and parameter. Additionally you have to keep track of various script types, like batch, events or custom daemons.
