Eyeon Fusion is an image compositing software program created by eyeon Software Inc. It is typically used to create visual effects and digital compositing for film, HD and commercials. It employs a node-based interface in which complex processes are built up by connecting a flowchart or schematic of many nodes, each of which represents a simpler process, such as a blur or color correction. This type of compositing interface allows great flexibility, including the ability to modify the parameters of an earlier image processing step “in context” (while viewing the final composite).

Fusion has been used for high-end compositing over the last 10 years.
over 20 years now actually
AE sucks, Fusion, Nuke, Combustion are the ones.
AE has a different target. Fu, Nuke, Combustion etc – composition software. AE – motion design.
I’ve been using heavily AE for visual FX work on film resolutions and its great. It’s just a matter of what you prefer. Layers or nodes.
With AE I can edit a sequence in premiere and import it in AE for the FX and this is priceless for me. I m doing mostly commercials and title sequences where the client changes his mind too often. Trust me, it is easier to modify what you’ve done in AE. Especially when you need to move a lot of footage back and forth in time.
A friend of mine who uses fusion, when he has to change something he’s in trouble.

anyidea how to make sapphire+other ae plugins work in fusion 6?
before you dropped em to the AEPlugins folder and they worked like a charm :/ no they dont.
Try the OFX version of Sapphire. They work fine.
