Any chance the exporting is faster in this release, would take like 2 hours to export a high poly stone on an i5 rig with 8gb of cosair dominator. hope they addressed that.
I guess we’ll just have to test it and find out…I have about the same rig,
i7 w/ 8gb ram and I’ve had quite a few crashes on huge scenes. It is a laptop so I don’t expect it to react the way a desktop would.
I guess the improvements are in the core. Sort of like Max 2011 and Max 2012.

Awesome, thanks for the upload – been waiting for this to integrate with the new Max and Maya.
It’s a shame E-On put so little effort into Vue and its updates, there’s barely anything new in this but they’ve just thrown on the .5 to try and get a bit more money from their customers. Maybe they should work on providing better presets (i.e. ones that aren’t from Vue 3/4) and stopping it crashing all the freaking time before they release another.
I agree that e-on (and alot of other software houses) should sometimes do a makeover and think forward.
Ok that the speed and optimization does come with newer releases but that is what it should be, a more stable release.
But I do have serious problems with stability and had since vue 7. Lost count when I suddenly can’t move because it is about to crasch.
But I also want to see more features
What I really like to see is:
A better preview window for clouds and especially in the function editor
a plant/rock editor – combined with some kind of L-splines and really make new editable, dynamic species from scratch and not only from their presets
The possibility to edit the “species” standard features even when they are added into the ecosystem instead of now /save first making it more easy to change things on the fly

thx for the upload, btw im still having plugin load error when starting 3dsMax 2012 with vray2.1, so it only works with mental ray. anybody heaving the same problem? any help would be appreciated

Have the same problem as Minks Vray 2.1 and 3ds Max 2012. crashes when i render with “unhandled exception”. the problem might be im using Vray 2.1 and not 2.

In Max 2009 x64b o Win7 x64b crashes every time I want to create anything or enter options / render settings. Well… not as perfect as it should be. :-/

Okaaay…? This is weird. Reinstalled it – still crashes. Uninstalled all apps that would interfere and cause crash – still crashing. Tried Vue 9.0 xStream – same problem, and it worked before! A little while ago i installed some minor Windows 7 updates… and it works just fine! O_O This is awesome.

Same problem here, or kinda. The installation show a Successful message but when I try to open the app it says that the serial is wrong so I can’t even get to the activation area.

Strange, it tells me that its a bad serial. The MAC Idress is the correct one, though it doesnt work. No clue why, could anyone help me?
Same problem as Quunu…Bad Serial, tried with all the MAC active or not on my computer, in administrator or not…no way, bad serial, bad serial, etc…
tried without internect connection, same result.

Istalls fine on Win XP and Windows 7,, get it to run first time,, however when I reboot and then open the application it get a “bad actviation number, please P;ease use activation number written in the registration email” I can then enter the activation number “the generated one” and it all gos ok… Is there a step i am missing here/ I run the setup as Administrator but this is consistant across both installs, any ideas?

To crack, follow the next:
1 – Open Device manager – Network adapters – Properties (right button) – Advanced – network address – Put a value as you want (and Copy)
2 – Install and crack using this value as mac adress. (your internet connections will be lost, don´t worry)
3 – RESTART!. Important.
4 – Internet connections are restored and Vue working fine.
5 – Not welcome.

@Pablo: Could you please explain a little more in detail. I changed the MAC ID as you stated and i installed vue 9.5. And during the process i kept the keygen running. Now when i run keygen i keep getting bad activation number. Could you detail how you managed to activate. Thanks in advance.

can’t install BAD ACTIVATION NUMBER. even if i run keygen and vue as administrator. ironb0y help!!!
1.disable network adapter/internet connection
2.install vue. open keygen. type anything under mac address (your name etc.) generate serial.
3.after install open vue. you will be prompted to enter activation code. proceed to step 4
4.go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\e-onsoftware (folder options must show hidden files and folders)
5.edit Vue 9.5 xStream.reg. look for the generated mac address and enter it to the keygen to generate activation code then paste it (step 3)
6.after successful activation add and generate render cow serial and activation code. do NOT close vue.
7.refresh contents of Application Data\e-onsoftware and check the contents of the file. create a backup copy and store in a different folder.
8.enable your network adapter/internet connection.
the catch: disable internet connection first when opening vue and enable it after so that you can use the program while being online at the same time, otherwise you will get a bad activation number error. If shit happens overwrite the Vue 9.5 xStream.reg with your backup copy.

I have read through all the posts above and tried everything but can not get a past entering a serial. It just comes up with a box which says something like
Invalid serial
Serial should be in the form of VUE9aaa-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-aaa-##### where ‘x’ represents a digit and ‘a’ represents a letter.
an example of the kind of serial the keygen is giving me is;
VUE9XST-BPRPG-HDLPQ-HRGGD-CMRHM-QCN-98003

the same technique worked fine on my laptop win 7 64 bit. Vue 10 xStream 64bit- download via piratbay torrent.
make sure all connections are disabled before cracking and crating key.
