Why only one installer? Well, we decided not only to exceed esanti’s crap release by fixing fur, distributed rendering, etc etc, but we also created an all-in-one installer. Pre cracked! All you need to do is select which version you want and where you wish to install it. That’s it!
We’ve found some funky workings with 2008, please report any bugs with it here. It should still work perfectly fine.

Thank you. That solved all my problems… bootcamp right into Vray is the only Vway. Now I just have to throw some stuff in paint and finish it up in windows movie maker all is good… Now for some gaming.

batch render stereocamera (stereo pair) don’t work.
it rendered just only left camera.
AGAIN!!! IT WORKS FINE!!!
choose in perspective view : panels/stereo/stereoCamera
and then hit batch render… works all fine! not a vray problem!

How is fur rendered in Vray? I attached maya fur to a sphere, hit render in vray, it doesn’t render the fur at all.

It will not work with maya fur..try adding vray fur to a polygon, it will work.

dont forget to copy the crack files in maya bin folder also, or you will get licence 10061 error
how to get this working, i installed and dont get vray option in render dropdown? what do i need to copy where?
Go to Wndows>Settings/Preferences>Plug-in Manager. Scroll to down and find something where writes vrayformaya.mll. Right from that chech two checkboxes(Loaded and Auto load).
Damned Chaos Group marketing! I’m happy I didn’t buy Vray 2. Light Select – one of the greatest announced features of this version – does not collect indirect illumination, just direct. Pretty much useless as GI is the main reason to use Vray over other renderers.

nevermind about the shadows. i guess restarting took care of that. physical camera is still screwy though

First of all a big thanks to oblique for this much awaited release. I am not able to make it work.usually i am good at this and manage things on my own but i am finding it bit tricky this time.I have Maya 2012 installed and i am using the installer in this release and all goes fine.no error during installation and i choose also the correct version of Vray for the matching version of Maya 2012 but after installation i see that the plug in is not there?? any help would be appreciated.thanks

Install plugin with “run as Administrator” option, and REBOOT PC after install. That works for me

Hello guys
Firstly a big thanks to the uploader!
I have a problem, and I don’t know how to fix it.
When i try to render with VRay RT I get the following message:
“Warning: Scene is empty.”
vray opens but it locks up and i have to terminate it, and rt doesn’t render.
Rendering with regular vray seems to be working fine.
Anybody know how to fix this?

hmm to bad il just use the older version I have, I cant seem to fix these problems:

vray freeses and i get a dialog to close the program forcefully.

And chaos group forum seems to say that these problems are fixed in newer releases. which we cannot access. Be aware you might need the older version if u have it.

When I download this file, only file appears in the zipped and directory and when you execute the file and select the Maya2012 option it stops half way through with some crap about not having the correct installation files. Any ideas anyone?

Thank you for sharing. I got it to work work. Install it in windows 7 x64 Maya 2012. Install as admin and select Custom Sitting before install and select Maya version you are using. Lets start learning with vray…

Sorry for posting the wrong message. I’ve found the real problem its not the installer itself, but the other plugin I’ve installed.
