Yeti is Peregrine Labs product to produce fur feathers and generating lots of things based around familiar working concepts of a procedural node graph directly within Autodesks Maya.
The toolset has been developed as an end to end solution that easily integrates into most pipelines with ease and built with the goal of efficiently transporting and rendering the data generated while maintaining an artist friendly workflow.
Yeti aims to be package agnostic and supports various rendering engines including Pixars Renderman 3Delight Chaos Groups Vray and Solid Angles Arnold.
Sidenote:The included *.mod does not work out of the box on osx or win fix it by yourself,
Linux version do not need to worry about the *.mod. Should work like expected
i tried to render yeti fur(v1.3.17) with MtoA (v1.1.1.1) on Mac but I never succeed. I tried both maya 2014 and maya 2015. I still don’t get the fur rendered. I could only created fur with yeti inside Maya but i am unable to render the fur itself. The MtoA renders well with other object but not the fur. Does anyone have any step-by-step clue of how I can set up Yeti and MtoA on Mac? Or did anyone successfully render fur with Yeti on Mac (maya)? Please help.
MtoA was trying to render some fur files in my yeti/tmp folder.
e.g. hairTestScene_pgYetiMaya1Shape_458387397_1.fur
the render view then stopped.
the maya script editor has the followings:

I think it is very close. Does anyone know why?
