You have to go to the Task Manager and stop the License Server application, there. This will cause the service to stop automatically. You can not go to the Service Manager and stop the service otherwise.
I have not tried the new serial number yet, but have the same issue as everyone else, the Bones and Vertex menus are indeed missing.
I am using Windows 8 RC build 8400, 64-bit.

got it registered at last. Made the same mistakes as some of you must be making, not following installation instructions properly.
You must follow Part 2 exactly, stop the licence service, and this can only be done from task manager services and then only by doulbe clicking on it and stopping it from the window that opens up. Only then can you open Anti_Strong to alter the registry. If you right click and choose ‘stop’, you will get a message telling you it can’t be stoped.
Then restart the licence service in the same way you stopped it.
All you need to do then is start the licence manager and past in the code given in install.txt. Do not open with wordpad, will put space in the wrong places, do not copy from cgpersia, same thing, only use the one in notepad. Select the first one all the way down to unwella, including the = sign. Don’t click on generate, don’t put a name in, just hit the paste button at the bottom and it will paste in the text you copied, hit register and bobs your uncle. Don’t know how it works yet, only just got past the registration process after an hour of doing it wrong, as usual RTFM.

The license service can only be stopped from the task manager>services tab. I’ve found that even if you get an error, the service still stops. If it doesn’t for you, simply terminate the process “ActiveLockServerV2.exe” in the processes tab.
After swapping the dll file as in the readme, do NOT import anti_strong_names.reg into the registry – skip this step. This was used in ver 4.21 of the cracked plugin to get the license service running after swapping the dll file, but it’s not required here and will just mess up your installation.
Also, if you had a previous version of Bones Pro installed, you will need to delete all the keys changed by anti_strong_names.reg in the registry.
To do this, run the command “regedit”, hit Ctrl+F and search for “3dio”. Delete any key that you find (Thanks for this info, Sliman!). Oddly enough, even empty keys will still cause problem, so make sure to delete them all.

P.S. Those registry keys are what cause the missing Bones and Vertices rollouts, so make sure to delete them.

i did it, The only problem is the registry. only delete the reg of bones pro 4.1, all entries of past ActiveLock3_5Net_3dioand and works fine. Well at first you think you do not succeed. have to use it, testing it in 3ds max with a simply model, when you select the tab bones or vertex finally appear below. Thanks to all.

i did it, The only problem is the registry. only delete the reg of bones pro 4.1, all entries of past ActiveLock3_5Net_3dioand and works fine. Well at first you think you do not succeed. have to use it, testing it in 3ds max with a simply model, when you select the tab bones or vertex finally appear below. Thanks to all.
