FinalRender Stage-1 Release 2.0 SP1 for 3dsmax 6 – 2008
cebas Computer, maker of finalRender?, today announces the release of Service Pack 1 for finalRender, finalToon, and finalShaders R2. SP1 fully supports 3ds Max 2008 and has an installer for all supported versions of 3ds Max. All users should download SP1 and install it today!
Service Pack 1 for 3ds Max
In our ongoing desire to serve the needs and expectations of our customers, cebas Computer will periodically release Service Packs to enhance features and stability for your production usage. It is strongly recommended that you always keep your software up-to-date with these Service Packs.
Please be aware that this is a full install with all files, scenes, and manuals. You must completely uninstall the previous version of of your software from Add/Remove programs (not IPCLAMP) and then install the service pack.
!!IMPORTANT!!
You must download and install the new IPCLAMP update which is also available in your download area of the cebas shop. SP1 will not work without the new IPCLAMP update. You will need to uninstall your old IPCLAMP (from Add/Remove programs) and install the new version. You do not need to reauthorize IPCLAMP as long as you reinstall it into the same place/directory it was previously. !!IMPORTANT!!

This did not work for me. Anyone get it running? I installed it on Max 9 version. When I go to the IP-Clapmp application, I follow the directions to crack it. At the last step, when I load the .lic file (not stored in the IP_Clamp folder, stored in My Documents) the IP-Clamp appplications crashes. Any subsequent try to restart the application makes it crash as soon as I try to launch it. Needless to say, the application is not activated when trying it in Max.
Any ideas? The application seems like an older version. The keygen has an April 10, 2007 date. The instructions say I must download the latest IP-Clamp from Cebas. I am not sure this is the problem since I could not get the IP-Clamp application work as by itself.
No problems at all with 3dmax 2008. But IP-clamp needs a ridiculous long time to verify the license file. Maybe you thought at this point it would have been crashed?
Thanks guys. I was trying it on a Max 9 installation. The crash occured at the very last step of the process where I point to the ipclamp.lic file. The problems quits, and I get the “Windows has encountered and error…” message. I am tempted to try on a different machine, but I don’t want to kill my existing finalrender installation.

found any workarounds ?
i have tried ip clamp on xp with max 9, perfect
and on vista with max 9, error : license copied ,dynamic loading failed!

Hey guys. Has anyone figured out a way around the IP-Clamp application crashing when you import the license file? The whole program becomes unusable after and I have to uninstall it as well as clean my registry to get it working again.

yeah I dont think this works on vista ecause the IP clamp isnt working on Vista, doing ANY opperation like selecting local host causes the application to freeze, can anyone help me?
go to the folder where ipclamp is installed and then remove the license file then restart ipclamp so it works again but any load of the license make it crash !!

Ok I dont think this works because I’ve done everything correctly to the tee and I’ve also installed everything correctly ( I think) and when I open up max and try to find it (final render or final flares of final DOF) I cant even find it, I know it’s in the enivorment–> effects–> add but the only things there is the stuff deflaut to 3ds max.

I have put the clamp on both xp and vista, If you run vista you MUST run it as the administrator(because it sets up in program files.) When I goofed this the first time, I had to uninstall with a third party program..i.e. revo uninstaller, because it leaves files behind on a normal uninstall.

Installed FR and was working aok for days. Then rebooted pc and now just get “Internal Error 1” all the time. This is not just limited to FR but also DoF plugin aswell?

you have to setup all 1. Install finaRender, finalToon and IP-Clamp license server and set it up.

1. Uninstall Windows Vista
2. Install Windows XP Sp3
3. Install a pretty looking GUI to make it look like VIsta.
Or create a duel boot system….use XP when you want to get some serious work done….use Vista when you want to look at pretty (useless) screen fades/menus’s and error messages :o)
when i download it say it has a virus in the file … is there a never way to download it ???
Warning: Be sure to scan all the downloaded files with your Antivirus and if there is an executable or installer file, make sure to have your antivirus active and open in the background while installing or running the app. Some of the materials posted here are downloaded from CGPeers, So they could potentially have something injected in them.
