VRay: THE COMPLETE GUIDE is the first book in the world completely devoted to VRay. Its aim is to provide an avanced support for the specialists in this branch. All too often we lose a lot of time searching the meaning of a particular parameter. Who hasn’t spent entire days trying to understand what was wrong with their rendering? Having some ?presets? is not enough: it is necessary to understand and have knowledge of the tools daily used. This is the only way thanks to which you’ll be able to face more and more difficult tasks.

VRay: THE COMPLETE GUIDE was born thanks to two year’s hard work, during which we tried to produce a high-quality handbook committed to VRay’s users. Not just a basic list of commands, but a special tool, composed by technical and theorical parts, by which you’ll be carried away! You’ll be able to find, through 1000 pages, 2300 images and 3200 renderings expressly created for this handbook. Enclosed you’ll also find a DVD-ROM containing 32 animations in .mov format, bearing examples otherwise impossible to understand via images only. It’s an unrepeatable handbook, difficult to find elsewhere: made up of 1000 pages, full colour, 20x28x5cm (other manuals are usually smaller: 17x23x3cm). Bound with extreme care, through paperback binding stitched with wire referendum and not simply glue, it holds up through the time. The hardback cover also is hardbound disk, allowing a better usability.

      Multiply this prize by 4,5 then you get how precious this book is in Poland.
      Anyway, if this book will be available in my country with rational prize I’ll buy it. I just ponder why this book doesn’t had a pre order version in all Europe. And why prizing was not balanced.

  30. Mmm… for you, what’s the price for this kind of book? 1.000 page, full Color, A4 page size… 2 years of work. It’s not like a usual book. If you live in Europe, in my opinion, 90-100 euro it’s the price for this book (including shipping cost). It’s not a novel book. It’s a “PRO” book, not like AutoCAD or office but a plug for a 3D program… I read a very good feedbacks and now I see that these comments are true.

      I’ll ask only one question.
      If you earn 1900 EUROS for liveing every month, will you buy book worth 540 EUROS? I don’t thin so, even this is “pro book”. I’ve never seen book worth 540 PLN Z? in any bookstore but antiquarian bookshop for sure. Feedbacks, feedbacks, i know that book is great but for a student is a hell of a cost. Anyway this is extortion period.

    • CGP. am i right or not? should we think that Francesco bought every single programs, pay every single license, and do not have 1, just 1 cracked copy of a stupid shit program that some developers set to a 1 coin prize??? no. we don’t think. should we think that francesco don’t download mp3? don’t download video? don’t listen to music and buy cd in mediastore??? he had never registered a song via radio? he don’t have got an ipod? and he pay all music instead it? ok.. we think a bout. maybe he’s rich. internet surfer not. heheheheh

  32. mmm… try to see how much cost send 3 Kg with UPS in the World. ITA->USA = 45 euro… built the book is about 50 euro per book… now add this two. This book is 3 Kg and 1000 page, not 1 Kg for 500 page like normal 3ds max book. And it’s full color… ;)

    • Maybe a few less pages would have done the trick , less weight for shipping , less in printing costs and probably extra sales for a more reasonably priced book .Certainly I did not to read the history of CG or VRay and I don’t rate my purchase as anything special . The Author should know that anything can and will be shared , complaining solves nothing.

  34. macros u’re right, but u’ve to think that electa’s book costs 150 euros and are big, fully colored, and not so expensive as vray guide. we’re not talking about works behind on this book.
    i think that u or who did the book has to be pleasant that it were developed by cgpersia or on torrent. it means it’s a good product that communities need. it would be helpful to many student’s, and too many people want to approach to 3d world. nothing else. it’s a customer decision to buy next to ‘ve seen the product. u set the prize, market set if it’s right or not right. maybe if u developed a dvd downlodable for a 20 euros, or 50, many people would appreciate works, and energy spent due to wrote the book and would buy.. obiviously many other will download from torrent, but is the same as they do actually without giving editors money. personally for 30 euros i would download from official site, but for 100 i prefer not to download from torrent and not to buy. regard.
