Maxwell Render is a rendering engine based on the mathematical equations governing light transport, meaning that all elements, such as emitters, materials and cameras, are derived from physically accurate models. Maxwell Render is unbiased, so no tricks are used to calculate the lighting solution in every pixel of a scene; the result will always be a correct solution, as it would be in the real world. Maxwell Render can fully capture all light interactions between all elements in a scene, and all lighting calculations are performed using spectral information and high dynamic range data.

Due to its very nature, Maxwell Render enables users to create accurate and extremely realistic images. Maxwell Render is a recognized standard in architectural visualization, product design, jewelry, film production, scientific research and other high-end rendering markets, and the leader in render quality.

Maxwell Render is a rendering engine that accepts models and scenes created in 3D or CAD applications. Several of these applications are directly supported through a Maxwell Render plug-in; others can be used in conjunction with Maxwell Render by importing the geometry into Maxwell Studio, a component of the software.

    • argh! yes, I did not find the resume function until now… so I thougt it was perfectly working.. sorry

    • it works but not at 100 %, when you want to resume a render there is the watermark again

  6. probably the same version, that’s been on the forum for a week now..
    there’s a crack from x-force as well (don’t which crack is in here..)

  14. @Bush: the supposedly X-force crack consists only of a license of the old MAxwell (1.7). No good. U still get the watermark after resume.

  18. I try to enter in mxm gallery by material browser in maxwell studio but when i type correct username and password it says that can’t find material server! why? username and password are the same that i use to enter in mxm gallery by internet browser but in maxwell studio not run!

  19. initially worked, they must have blocked the function to those who have the cracked version… :-(

      • functions not working in cracked version:
        – no network rendering
        – watermark if you use render resume
        – watermatk if you use more than three-light in multilight render mode
        – no more than two IES lights in the scene
        – in the browser online editor of the materials studio does not access the server

  21. The mac V2 demo is now available from the official site, is there any K around ? by the way, it needs to rename the “maxwell 2” to “maxwell” or nothing would show up. Well, K please : )

    (Resuming works alsow with scenes made by maxwell 1.7… but watermark… :(((

      I go to window desk and I use WINRAR to decompress and after????
      I’ am french, I and I have some problems to get fichier .dmg.
      Can you explain me the solution.

  29. I sure would like to find some video tutorials for this render engine on a par with the videos that Digital Tutors and Gnomon have been putting out for say, Mental Ray…

    This is a very slick render engine but like any sophisticated piece of software it’s got a hell of a learning curve.

    there is a x86 crack but no x86 install. :(

  36. Personally, I keep bad cholesterol very low by avoiding to eat so much junk as well as doing some physical exercise. Enjoying soccer, jogging, what have you.
