In this set of tutorials we will learn how to work more efficiently inside of Maya using MEL. We’ll start by learning how to create a tool to quickly access MEL commands. We’ll then learn about global and local procedures, as well as, how to source external files using MEL. We’ll learn how use MEL to export code, we’ll learn how to build a tool that can trim down time on the setup process for a linear workflow, and conclude the course by learning how to create and manage a Text Scroll List in order to build a constraining tool. By the end of this course, you will have the understanding you need to improve your skill in MEL and be an even greater asset to your team.

Digital Tutors – Creating a Site Analysis in Revit

In this series of tutorials, you’ll learn how to put together all the elements you’ll need to
create a powerful and professional site analysis using Revit 2014.

We’ll begin by inserting a satellite image of a proposed building site located in a dense downtown
setting where you’ll see how to quickly scale your image using real world data. From there we’ll
create the site’s infrastructure by placing streets, bridges and blocks that will really bring the
site to life. Once we’ve completed our model, we’ll then analyze the site even further by
conducting a solar study to study the sun’s path and its effect on our site. Finally, we’ll be
able to experience the scale of our site by creating a basic walkthrough of downtown.

Once you’ve become comfortable with the concepts and techniques in this course, you’ll be able to
put together a high-quality site analysis presentation of your own with no problem.

Visually presenting a story can be a creative, collaborative, and fun experience.

We’ll begin by discussing the usefulness of creating a storyboard and some elements to aim for
when crafting one. From here we’ll start the process of fleshing out the shots of our own story by
visually nailing down the world in which it’s events take place starting with the establishing
shot.

As we progress forward we’ll learn about how we want to visually present the main character, build
anticipation to the story’s conflict, our character’s motivation, the obstacles they’ll face, and
how to arrive at a resolution. Along the way we’ll also learn about maintaining good compositions
to lead the viewers eye through each shot in addition to making editorial changes to the
arrangement of our shots to improve the progression and flow of our story.

After watching this tutorial you’ll have be able to construct your own story boards with more
creative confidence while having a lot of fun.

In this series of tutorials we will learn how to create a modern interior creation with CINEMA 4D and V-Ray.

In this tutorial we are going to take an in-depth look into V-Ray for CINEMA 4D. We will start by modeling an interior to scale from CAD files, and then proceed to explore all facets of V-Ray for CINEMA 4D. We will learn basic lighting setups, materials, and render settings. Then we will look at additional lighting setups such as HDRI lighting.

In the end we will do post-production to add those last finishing touches using Photoshop.
