SpeedTree Cinema 8 is the latest iteration of our award-winning 3D vegetation modeling software.Formerly Studio, Architect, and Cinema, SpeedTree for VFX is now available with all the features or our top end modeler at a lower price.
New Features:
Full PBR workflow and rendering. Supports non-destructive material editing, allowing artists to adjust textures on the fly.
A completely new library of 152 models, ranging from seedlings to towering forest models, includes thousands of 3D surface-scanned PBR textures. Each individual model file (.spm) contains multiple polygonal resolutions and adjustable seasonal variations.
Vastly improved export pipeline. Exports now run much faster and use far less memory. Other improvements include UDIM support, hierarchical exporting, and better bone unwrapping, weighting, and material binding.
New leaf batching system. Leaf rendering in the SpeedTree Modeler is up to 1,000 times faster than version 7. This innovation greatly speeds the modeling process and supports the creation of more complex models.
Major leaps in wind realism. Cinema 8 captures the complex dynamics of wind among leaves and branches more naturally than ever. The overhauled system features a realistic rolling wind effect, is much easier to tune, and includes a new wind wizard.
Numerous other improvements. There are more than two dozen other substantial improvements including a new art director tool, an overhauled mesh cutout system, decoration and knot generators, and new bifurcation and spine noise systems.

What the file – SpeedTree_Modeler_Cinema.rar?
at the Unpacking unpacking process they say that the SpeedTree_Cinema_v8.0.2_MacOSX.part7.rar is missing?
Missing Vol 7 for Mac ?
Please ADD MISSING MAC Version RAR file!!

The Mac k will not convert to Unix Executable. It remains a text document and will not run the package.
installer says it wont install…is this a Sierra issue?
got it too install but as dos says this is a friggn textedit file. in info i converted it to a Terminal file but What now????!!
i rt clk to open package contents and in macos i saw the modeler again. i replaced it-doesnt work…waste of time grrr
ok got it by searching the forums!
its a permission problem!
put this in the terminal after repalcing the modeler file in the macos folder
sudo chmod +x /Applications/SpeedTree\ Cinema\ v8.0.2/SpeedTree\ Modeler\ Cinema.app/Contents/MacOS/SpeedTree\ Modeler\ Cinema
