i did a test render and it took 1min to render a particular scene in max 2009 which the same scene takes 16 in max 2008.
isnt that a waste of a lifetime if i have to do an animation?

guys i just installed the wrong vray version for 3dsmax 2009,as it turns out it sipposed to used on 3dsmax 9.so each time i start 3dsmax 2009,i always get the “vray.dll does not initiallized…..” i tried to uninstalled the vray but i it didnt regeistered on the remove software,i already reinstalled the 3dsmax 2009 but the message keep coming out.how can i remove it?

I have installed the vray advanced 1.5 sp2 on max 2009, I?ve used the installer of 27,5 Mb, after that I?ve replaced the files from that crack and it works really fine, there is only one thing that I see wrong, on the render tab settings it says V-RAY DEMO 1.5 sp2, but I haven?t installed the demo version, I?ve installed the advanced version with the distributed rendering working fine.

Vray ExtraTex render element does not work with VrayDirt in the version provided by CGTorrent (32bit version haven’t tested 64bit). Not really a big deal just thought I’d let you know.

if you notice everything is working like the full version but it say the demo. there is nothing wrong with that only the demo tittle.
my question to you is…. on your install can you run vray spawner?, and if so can you post how you do it. and are you able to post all the files you use for vray.

I used vray spawner and it works fine, at that time the only thing that doens?t works in that crack is the option in the vray envoronment effects, the VRAYTOON effect, it appears and is any problem when you activate it, select the objets to apply, selc the option include objects, and then when I launch the render and the vraytoon effects doen?s appear in the render.
Blue, don?t worry, I prepare the files and I upload them to a server and then I post here the link of both the installation file and the crack, I?ve tested it only in 32 bits version.
Tomorrow I post here the links and a detailed instructions for install it with any problem!!
Excuse me, the vraytoon works fine now in 1.5 advanced sp2. At the time it works all fine, tomorrow here will be all the files, and remember if you use it in comecial use you have to pay a little money to the people of Chaos Group because of his nice release. See tomorrow people!!

If you have installed correctly the VRay, then simply follow that steps and it works fine:
In 3dsmax you have to hit the key F10, then in the tab “Common”, search “Assign Renderer”, then open that menu. By default in Production appears MentalRay Renderer, click on the three points at the right and select VRay Demo 1.5 SP2, and that?s all, now your renders use the Vray rendering.

Well….i am at a loss…im have attempted to install and run every single version of vray for 3d max 2009 32 bit and am getitng now where. I am install it…its installs…i run max..to check…in the “assign renderer” tab it says vray advanced 1.5 sp 2 bla bla…but wont render due to license issue. I do the .dll stuff in the 3d max root and plugin folder…now when i run max…in the “assign renderer” tab it says vray DEMO 1.5 Sp2 and in get watermarking…this happens to all versions…am im missing something? Thanks in adavance!

Yes it is true, at that time there is any crack (that I know) that can remove the Demo Version in the Strapline, but all the other options are working fine. Vray toon and VRay dirt I?ve tested it and too are working fine with that crack.

Hi Jetrom, I have found Vray Toon, not used it though! As for Vray dirt, I bring in an old Vray scene using Vray dirt and the dirt doesn’t show up! What am I doing wrong here? Will post the scene if you want me too! BTW, people having problems with Max on Vista 32 bit, I always open Max 2009 as administrator, and all the errors and warnings go away! One thing I hate about Vista is the over security it has…

hi jetrom, the link u jsut specified isn’t working… it says ‘file can’t be found’. so look into it.
secondly. i just downloaded and installed the vray 1.5b sp2 hosted on this site, but it displays as demo in my max. aslo some sections like light cache is missing in the renderer.
can anyone give me a link to where i can get a full working vray 1.5 sp2 renderer. i’d appreciate.

Well….i am at a loss…im have attempted to install and run every single version of vray for 3d max 2009 32 bit and am getitng now where. I am install it…its installs…i run max..to check…in the “assign renderer” tab it says vray advanced 1.5 sp 2 bla bla…but wont render due to license issue. I do the .dll stuff in the 3d max root and plugin folder…now when i run max…in the “assign renderer” tab it says vray DEMO 1.5 Sp2 and in get watermarking…this happens to all versions…am im missing something? Thanks in adavance!

jetrom… does this version say VRAY DEMO in the strapline on finished renders and does Vray dirt and Toon work ok?

Yes it is true, at that time there is any crack (that I know) that can remove the Demo Version in the Strapline, but all the other options are working fine. Vray toon and VRay dirt I?ve tested it and too are working fine with that crack.

Could you be more detailed? Are you using the VRay built-in motion blur or you are using the 3dsmax camera motion blur?
Could you tell me exactly what say the error message?And I need that you explain me a little what kind of animation are you rendering for could help you.

ok my scene (((simple)))…….i set a vray plane with a teapot on top. i use a phisical vray cam and on the cam setting i hit depth of fielf (check) motion blur (check) and subdvis to 50…..i get this error with or without vray frame buffer

Hi Jetrom, I have found Vray Toon, not used it though! As for Vray dirt, I bring in an old Vray scene using Vray dirt and the dirt doesn’t show up! What am I doing wrong here? Will post the scene if you want me too! BTW, people having problems with Max on Vista 32 bit, I always open Max 2009 as administrator, and all the errors and warnings go away! One thing I hate about Vista is the over security it has…

tested with “vray_adv_150 SP2_max2009_x86_with_crack” (.exe = 27,5 mo)
dirt works for me but motion blur does not….vista 64/3dmax desin 64/ vray demo 64
why does dirt work for some but not others? can’t figure it out…
