finalToon, cebas’s Non Photo Realistic (NPR) renderer for 3ds Max has also been upgraded with features and functions, finalToon is available as an integrated part that comes with finalRender R3, finalRender R3 SE or as a standalone version.

finalRender R3 SE is build upon:

* all features and functions of finalRender R3
* pyroCluster 3.5 (without mental ray shaders)
* finalToon R3
* former finalShaders shaders (unlimited network render license)

Hell knows why X-FORCE has published it as “SE” – this is a bit strange for me as I think they are reliable group. Probably – they did not really realize what they had obtained from their supplier.

Anyway – it seems we still need to wait for the full SE release but now – unfortunately – it may take some time as the attention of the scene may already move to another target in the humble believe FinalRender R3 task is completed.

The problem, its that, ip clamp license manager autostart after the instalation, so you must open ip clamp for stop the service, and later close ip clamp. Now you can patch the ip clamp floder.

Any way for no ip clamp autostart ?

You need to have admin priviledges on yr comp.

Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del
Go into the services tab
Hit the services shield at the bottom.

You will be able to find the Ip-Clamp Licensing in there.

2) Go to the Cebas folder in your public documents.
3) Delete all the FinalRender folders associated with your version of Max. Make sure you just delete the Final Render folders and not the other Cebas goodies you may have.
4) Reinstall, but make sure you select your Max folder through the browse option. Sounds obvious, but whenever I left this setting at the default “Autodesk” the installation did not work.

I’ve solved the problem with FinalRender R3 SE.

My Config is: MAX 2010 x64; IP Clamp 1.2; (Win 7 Ultimate x64)

I had FR R2 with IPClamp 1.1 on my computer. First I just deleted FinalRender R2, FinalShader R2 and IPClamp 1.1 (via win control panel). And installed IPClamp and FR R3 SE, but I had “Error (10)” in MAX.

Problem source: I forgot to delete manually c:/program files/cebas/ipclamp dyrectory (it had old license from IPClamp 1.1).

SOLUTION:
1. Delete all FinalRenders, shaders, etc – all R2 soft!
2. Delete IPClamp 1.1 and don’t forget do delete manually “/cebas/ipclamp” folder (with it’s old licenses)!!!
3. Istall IPClamp 1.2 (follow instructions from install.txt in crack dyrectory). Here some details: a) after step1 (install ipclamp 1.2) it will autostart after installation. So close it from Task Manager. b) program DIDN’T ask me to reboot (and it’s ok, so don’t mind)
4. Install FinalRender R3 SE
5. Enjoy!

P.S. I hope guys you’ll make it! This worker for me on my configuration.

  Solution:
  The same problem occured on my computer and I had a hard time to find a solution for this cause. It took my a few days to find a real solution. Finally I’ve found out, that all depends on the network settings and the sequence in which you install your programs and the Ip-clamp application.
  
  To give you an idea…
  If you install Zonealarm and afterwards Ip-clamp, then Zonealarm blocks Ip-clamp, even if you are expressly allow Zonealarm that ip-clamp may act as a server (I did it this way but I wasn’t sucessfull). But if you install Ip-clamp first and secondly Zonealarm afterwards, Ip-clamp will not be blocked (!), because the firewall Zonealarm will automatically detect the current settings for the Ip-clamp application and allow it to act as server.
  
  Neatless to say that uninstalling Zonealarm is not a solution for the cause of the problem. These settings are so deep in the registry engraved, that uninstalling Zonealarm or another Firewall will not solve the Ip-clamp problem. I suggest that this is the original of the problem that blocks ip-clamp to act as server. Your firewall is simply to suspicious and meant it to good to you :-(
  
  What can you learn here ?
  If you have a firewall installed, forget it ! You may try to uninstall it and try to start Ip-clamp sucessfully, but I will not believe, that this will solve the Ip-clamp misbehaviour. Try it, but do not expect that this will really work !
  
  How did I solve this problem ?
  I have made a brand new XP Installation, adjusted all drivers and system settings, installed all my applications (office 2007, adobe suite, ect…) and at the end I made an image with Drive Image (before I installed a fireall and ip-clamp). Afterwards I installed IP-clamp 1.2, rebooted and installed my firewall Zonealarm. Now everything runs perfect, no misbehavior ect…
  
  I tried it vice versa as confirmation (good to work with images). First I installed the Firewall and afterwards Ip-clamp. Result… “licence copied, dynamic reload failed” ! Did I mention that it is good to operate with backups :-) !
  
  Sorry to say that, but if you intend to solve the problem, setup a new system, install install Ip-clamp and then afterwards (finally at the end) your firewall. This should really work ! In my case it really works…
  
  I hope that this report may support all people which facing the same problem with the damned Ip-clamp shit ! Thank you Cebas, It took long to fix that server problem which your ipclamp application was causing…
  
  And isn’t that true… earnest buyers of FR are mistreated and the crackers have always found a solution ! Make a fair price and a good support and the people will buy it.

  GPU: PC1 and PC2 have a 9800GT graphics card, but PC3 has an old 6600GT graphics card
  The graphics card is different in the PC3 where FR-R3 will not work, that strange, now I think everything is due to the graphics card, but this is ridiculous
