  1. From VTC Website:

    * Due to their large file size, work files are not available for download. Per request, a DVD containing these work files is available for active Online University members.

  2. @ Organix – I don’t think it is, and I’m happy to not have paid for it. The instructor mumbles a lot, which annoys me in tutorials.

It’s one of those where you’re watching him run through what Maya does, but you’re not really learning much in the process. I find that Lynda.com and 3D Buzz have the best instructors. Even Digital Tutors has a mumbler for their Maya content, which is unfortunate.

Best Chapter: Polygon Tools – He details the tools well.

Worst: Modeling Demo – He runs through this without articulating steps, so you can forget about learning to model from this DVD.

Mumbler Defined: An instructor who often thinks aloud incoherently while teaching. They are trying something new, stumped or seemingly forgetful that they are teaching as they mumble and advance through steps that they never articulate. This often leaves the student confused about why they didn’t get the same results until they rewind and see what happened.

Good instructors are non-mumblers who articulate each step.
