Autodesk just released a new version of Arnold. This is the plugin for Cinema 4D 2023.

Works like a charm.
No watermarks and no crashes.
For newbies:
1- Install the .exe
2- Copy the ai.dll to C:\Program Files\Maxon Cinema 4D 2024\plugins\C4DtoA\arnold\bin
==> make sure you overwrite the existing dll
3- Enjoy.

A quick note: For those who were using maxon one student license, now you cannot use redshift for 10 USD/6Months
which can seem sad cuz Redshift is like having a renderfarm in your machine especially with smart sampling knowledge.
Here’s one better and Faster solution than redshift:
1- Export your c4d scene to unreal engine and render your animations there. It takes a week to understand UE workflow. but it’s worth it when it comes to Rendering long animations.

For still images you can use Arnolds. and with AOVs and some sampling you can get a perfect noise free Still image in the minimum amount of time (Just denoise the AOV that’s noisy for instance SSS or refraction…)

  5. Is anyone else getting frequent freezing (complete and total) of C4D when using the node editor in Arnold?
    The material preview freezes and the entire program becomes permanently unresponsive.

  6. Can anyone confirm if updating to the hotfix for Arnold works with the crack for this?

    • I downloaded and installed the hotfix (you can just create an autodesk account and you can download it), then I installed and used the ai.dll that comes with the 4.6.5 plugin here, and it works.
      I think it fixed the node editor crashing, too.
