Fryrender is the physically-based light simulator developed by RandomControl. It is a photo-realistic render engine where all the elements involved in the generation of the final image (materials, lights and cameras) are based on physically accurate models.

On fryrender, when you hit the render button, a simulation of the real behavior of light happens inside. Because of this, it is possible to achieve hyper-realistic results with minimal effort.
fryrender acts as a render manager which is fed the input scene by a plugin hosted in your modelling app of choice. The 8 modelling apps listed below are supported.

    • they won’t release the demo, only on demand and if we already have a fry license

  4. wow thx man, i saw some galeries image and its the most realistic render i never seen of my life…hope the rendering isn’t very slow!

    • It is an unbiased render engine They are ALL slow!!! (unless you get a render engine that uses the GPU) Most companies are releasing new render engines this year that will be hybrid CPU + GPU = Much faster renders.

  14. fryrender no support ies light= no realistic rendering for product viz and architectural rendering…
    I prefer maxwell, is work fine whit ies and have complex material…

  22. You know what? After having seen what everyone else is producing in (RT) realtime, I would go so far as to say that perhaps Octane Render is the best Realtime Render Engine out there, seriously. I’m pretty good with things, check it out. If I do buy this puppy its going up :P

  26. just tried rendering a image, a small one, 1 frame – a cube + sphere in cinema 4d. (installation worked nice by the way)

    It’s rendering in fryrender at the moment, it’s already at 1 hour and 15 minutes, and i have no idea when this simple frame will be finished rendering.

    does it always takes this long? is that normal? (for a scene wit 1 simple cube + sphere (test scene) each with 1 standard fryrender material.

    • did you set a limit for the rendering? fryrender renders until you stop if you don’t set any limit it doesn’t work like MR

  27. Thanks, it works perfectly, but this is the demo-cracked version. Not included layer bleending for example…. :-(
