Now important:
All of you watching never ending “license not found panel” during Hypershot starts on Vista here is an idea:
click on Activate and write any data (eg. email need to be an existing email, phone are just random numbers, etc) and on serial number field write this one:
1337-1337-1337-1337-VV4M
than click Activate button and voila:)
Mine used to work on 32bit Win7, but one day it started showing the “buy now, try now, activate” window, and since then no matter what I do, it wont let me use anymore…

Maybe this can help us to get closer to solve the problems;
I have previously installed this version of Hypershot on several machines:
iMac 23″/Bootcamp/XP32
Macbook 2Ghz (black)/Bootcamp/XP32
Dell Dimension Inspiron/XP32
Dell Inspiron/Windows 7 (with some trouble, but finally succeeded…)
We recently had a breakin at the office, and all the machines were stolen, so when we got our new MacBook Pro’s I figures it would be great time to install Hypershot in Windows 7 via Bootcamp.
Nothing have worked; Windows 7, XP SP3, XP SP2. Always the same message; activate… So finally I tried to migrate my bootcamp partion from my Macbook (which weren’t stolen) via WinClone. Now here is the interesting part; at first it worked (Hypershot) (Yeahhhh!!!), but when I then installed the additional hardware specific files from my OSX dvd – the message is the same; “Cannot find license file”…. F%#/&!!…..
So as Ilyas says, it has something to do with updates/additional files – now we just have to figure out which files, which unfortunately is beyond my knowledge. Who wrote the Patch in the first place BTW? Wish he (or she….) could see this thread.
HELP US PLEASE!!!!

I even wrote Bunkspeed to buy a license, but something is apparently wrong; they don’t answer and Version 10 should have been out mid-december (?) And the Hypershot reference on their webpage are pretty vague – hmmmm…. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark ; )

If your running Vista sp2 or windows 7 (professional our ultimate only I think) install xp mode, the crack and all work like a charm then!!!!!!!!!! Genius I know….
I have Windows 7 and I tried installing Windows xp on the Virtual PC mode and installed Hypershot and executed the patch and then copied the license file to the bin drive. But I still do get the message saying Buy, Try and Activate and after that I tried putting in the serial number specified above and activating it but it could not contact the License server. DO let me know how you did it ? I really do require it for my finals ! Thanks :)

Everyone who tries to install the program it will NOT WORK. No matter what kind of system you have or even if you just reinstalled windows.
After the installation the program sends its information to the hypershot server. Only this time this server(from bunkspeed) is closed so this is why every time you try to install Hypershot on your Pc it cant make a connection between your computer and the now closed server of Bunkspeed..
This sucks big time, as a spark of hope the original company
(the owner of the rendering technology) Luxion has now hypershot for sale under a new name ” Keyshot” . Original official Hypershot owners can download keyshot with a migrate program to change everything from your old hypershot program into the Keyshot program. So every file wil still be usable.
So there you have it Folks for the Old Hypershot 1.921 / 1.9150 glory dayz, they’re over :( and it was fun while it lasted!!

It’s no true…In windows xp you can still easily install…But in windows 7 I’ve tried many way but it doesn’t work..you have to swich in xp mode (without open gl support) or dual boot. Let’s wait for a keyshot crack..I hope somebody will make it..
Does anybody of you know, what?s the difference between Shot (Bunkspeed) and Keyshot (Luxion) – it looks like the same !?

agree with “srad 77” , have just installed BH1.9 on xp..but finding it really tough (read impossible )to have it on vista32 .. any bright one to enlighten us with this “GLITCH” with BH stopping the activation of new installs :)

the problem is not in any windows ( xp.or 7 ./ 32bits .64bits)
and no in patch
1/- the problem is in hypershot : u can not activate trial and u can’t load license
2/- the problem in license include with patch ( u don’t need it )
3/- now the method of patch it very very easy :
a-u must download keyshot 32 bits trial from website
b – when u copy patch of keyshot don’t copy the license ( don’t apply patch now )
c- activate keyshot trial (u receive automaticly a license ” keyshot.lic ” from website in bin folder )
d- apply patch …… now it’s activate unlimited :)
e- copy keyshot.lic (received from web ) to hypershot bin folder
f – rename it : hypershot.lic
g-now apply patch ( of hypershot of course ) to hypershot ….. and enjoy :)

THAT works perfectly. Description is a little confusing thoug.
a) download keyshot trial and activate as trial.
b) copy keyshot.lic from keyshot folder to hypershot bin folder and rename it to hypershot.lic (delete the old hypershot.lic)
c) apply the regular hyperhot patch, DONE

I instaled hypershot v1.9 yesterday, without apply patch. I installed keyshot, then I activate it for trial, rename the “keyshot.lic” to “hypershot.lic” and put it to hypershot bin folder. Finaly, I apply hypershot patch in the same bin folder.
-> still the unbearable msg “hypershot did not find a valid licence file”

Hey, you have to patch and the copy the license file, because the patch overwrites whatever license file you have. Follow these simple steps: Install Hypershot. Patch it. Copy Keyshot license to Hypershot directory and rename to “hypershot.lic”.

Thank you very much for the instructions to make Hypershot work again. Just to clarify, the steps mentioned above work but you have to copy the Keyshot license to Hypershot after patching, not before because the patch does modify the license. So, one more time for everyone, to make Keyshot work:
– Download Keyshot from the web. I assume you already have Hypershot + Patch.
– Install Hypershot. Do not launch it.
– Install Keyshot. Launch it. Activate as trial (you need Internet connection). It will connect to some weird server and provide you with a license file called “keyshot.lic” which will be placed under Keyshot/Bin
– Go to Bunkspeed/Hypershot/Bin, copy patch and apply it. Just say yes to whatever it tells you.
– Copy “keyshot.lic” from Keyshot/Bin to Bunkspeed/Hypershot/Bin
– Delete “hypershot.lic” from Bunkspeed/Hypershot/Bin
– Rename the previously copied “keyshot.lic” to “hypershot.lic”
– Launch Hypershot.
– Enjoy
Im on XP 64 and W7 64.
It doesnt work for me :(
After applying the patch on both, keyshot and Hypershot, I get the following message: “You need a networking card to use and activate KeyShot”
It happens everytime. When I delete EXE files and restore the .BAK then I can use the trial, at least on KeyShot.
Any ideas?

forget keyshot info above
move patch into hypershot bin folder
right click patch and select troubleshoot compatibility > troubleshoot program > the program worked in earlier versions of windows….
select windows xp sp2 > start the program
this should run the patch
move the hypershot.lic file into the bin folder per original instructions
happy rendering.
Do not forget to run it as an Administrator!

A friend of mine uses Hypershot. He’s a designer, and he asked me if there was a way to access the “original” Hypershot, as the new BS Shot and Keyshot “sucked” for him. More specifically, he wants access to the environment scene’s that were included with the original version(?)
So I found this blog/forum, and was excited about the *fix* as there seems to be NO other information that seems workable that I could find, regarding: Hypershot 32-bit working on Win 7 64-bit.
At first, it didn’t work. I kept trying – it didn’t work. Then last night *poof* Hypershot version 1.9.21-32 decided to activate. At least: this time, instead of putting up the box asking to Buy/Try/Activate, then disable, it actually came alive and I made my first scene! Cool!!!
The only thing I did different in your instructions was to drag the patched Keyshot (version 1.9.54 32-bit) license file from the KS Bin directory to the desktop – rename it there, instead of *after* I copied it into the HS Bin directory, which is what I was doing before.
Maybe it’s a fluke? If so, maybe that’s why everyone has been so frustrated? Or maybe it only works for a short while and eventually dies on you. . . we’ll see.
Thank you very much to all that came up with this *fix* – even if it dies, I can still just reproduce what I did and, voila! use it again.
