The actually good software can’t cost 80 euro. In serious software intended for architects it is possible to create Villa Palladio and similar classics from ground to top. Now I have designed the project in neo mauritanian style. it is possibe in ArchiCAD. Dont loose you time newbies on these programs.
ArchiCAD is not an architectural program. It is a program full with libraries and nonsense. If u want to build CAD models u should try Allplan or Revit…This was written for ADAMGU who says this program sucks…I say to try it and think again…Don’t you ever work in ArchiCAD…worst architectural program ever. You sir, if you have no idea what you are talking about, best stop talking at all. I have a 10 year experience in using ArchiCAD for architectural design, and its on the top BIM solutions at the moment for a reason. If you haven’t gotten into it that doesn’t mean it sucks. Learn to be more open about people’s choice, and don’t forget they will always be subjective.

ArchiCAD is one of the architectural programs and its for real architect. Revit and Allplan fit to engineering architects inclined with more technician thinking. Sketchup is for creative streaming architects designing the idea first of all without consequences. ArchiCAD is between of them. Last 10 years I practice as architect. I have started in licenced version of ArCon, then I used AutoCAD Architectural Desktop, next was ArchiCAD. Now I specializes on residential houses for Premium Customers in Russia. Architectural styles are 90% classic styles: ar nuvo, art deco, classicism etc. ArchiCAD is exellent for these tasks. If compare ArchiCAD with Ashampoo 3D CAD so it would be if we compare Audi and Tata.

I don’t agree when you said Revit is for engineers and not for architects , there’s 3 versions of revit, Revit architecture which is totally dedivated to architects and there’s Revit Structure and MEP (those two are for engineers), that’s why revit is considered as the best BIM software on the market, (It can coordinate between architects and engineers…) and I agree when u said Archicad is one of the best BIM software on the market, peaople dont understand what is BIM, thats why they compare it to this kinda software (ashampoo, allplan…etc) BIM is the future of AEc industry im my POV, Archicad is very used in europe while revit is often used in the americas and vectorworks in australia,..

I say that you are not right for ArchiCad but this is other thing,i work with Archicad,Autocad,i saw what is Revit but ArchiCad is the best,this is the fastest program of all.
I have been doing architect design for 15 years and Adamgu is 100% right! and im more insane then you!
I do not understand why developers put their bucks into the software like 3D CAD Architectural. Are their seriously thinking that they will jump over ArchiCAD or Revit? Professionals are learned what they need. Students use the same cracked software. Whom do they are appeal to?
Today they need to invent something really new, new approach or new ergonomics of interface or new market segment. Even these things point on bad marketing policy of the software company.
