How did you end up with it working? I tried every way possible but keeps on getting that error that the license string is corrupted.
Followed the simple instructions and even tried it “run as admin” for everything but cant figure out where the problem lies.
Win 7 x64 ultimate and not new to this but this one is stumping me.

I have noticed that the license string corruption only happens on some machines – I have installed it successfully on an Acer laptop and on a Mac Pro 8core running OS 10.6.8 (with some minor adjustments to the crack) But I still get the license string corruption on a 12core Mac, either running VMware or OSX native. I have had a look at the license string and it would appear that the string is too long for the keygen – I am still trying to work it out.

To make it work on a mac download the mac trial version from VirtualRig site. Instal the trial. Show package contents, contents/Resources/Java, in Java folder Remove file virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar.
From the downloaded X-Force crack rename virtualrig-studio-2.2-pro.jar to virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar and put this file into Java folder.
Open VirtualRig and you will be asked for licence – copy fingerprint to textedit, remove all spaces and save file.
Open VMware run PC Keygen paste in fingerprint code – generate licence – copy back to mac and point virtualRig at the new mac licence.
Thats all there is to it.

MISTER-Key – are you using a 12core Mac? I can get it to work on 4cores and 8cores but it fails on 12cores – I think it has something to do with the length of the fingerprint number string – if you open the generated licence in an xml viewer you will see that only a part of the number string is present, the end numbers are missing. This must be a limitation of the X-Force licence keygen – hopfully it will be adressed and a new licence keygen will be issued.

Tibo – The X-Force crack file is a windows file – expand the rar file and you will find a folder called Crack – inside this folder is a file called Virtualrig-studio-2.2-pro.jar – duplicate this file and rename it virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar. Right click (or control click) on the VirtualRig app and go to Show package contents, contents/Resources/Java, in Java folder Remove file virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar, and replace it with the file you just renamed, which is cracked.
Then start up VM Ware Fusion or a similar windows emulator and run the keygen.exe.
Now startup Virtualrig and you will get a dialog box that asks for your licence key. ? copy fingerprint number to textedit, remove all spaces and save file. From the textedit file copy all the numbers and paste them into the bottom line of the keygen and hit generate. This will generate an xml file. Drag this to the Mac desktop and in virtualrig click on install licence. Now navigate to your desktop and choose the xml file you just generated.
I have tried this on several macs and it has worked on all of them exept 12core machines – I think it is because the number string generated is yoo long. If you keep having problems PM me and I’ll see what I can do.

egon – When you copy the fingerprint from the Virtualrig installer dialog, paste that into textedit. If you look at all the numbers you just pasted into text edit, you will see that there are spaces between some of the numbers – you have to remove these and then save the file with no spaces – thats all there is to it.

For some reason when I hit \Install License…\ (at the end), it’s not letting me locate the xml file. Going to try to reboot and try again. Anyone have a similar issue?
So I got it working but in a very interesting way. After replacing the .jar file with the one in the crack, I had to rename the end of it from \pro\ to \trial\ then I was allowed to hit the \install license\ button and locate the xml file

Tibo – The X-Force crack file is a windows file – expand the rar file and you will find a folder called Crack – inside this folder is a file called Virtualrig-studio-2.2-pro.jar – duplicate this file and rename it virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar. Right click (or control click) on the VirtualRig app and go to Show package contents, contents/Resources/Java, in Java folder Remove file virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar, and replace it with the file you just renamed, which is cracked.
Then start up VM Ware Fusion or a similar windows emulator and run the keygen.exe.
Now startup Virtualrig and you will get a dialog box that asks for your licence key. ? copy fingerprint number to textedit, remove all spaces and save file. From the textedit file copy all the numbers and paste them into the bottom line of the keygen and hit generate. This will generate an xml file. Drag this to the Mac desktop and in virtualrig click on install licence. Now navigate to your desktop and choose the xml file you just generated.
I have tried this on several macs and it has worked on all of them exept 12core machines – I think it is because the number string generated is yoo long. If you keep having problems PM me and I’ll see what I can do.

Don’t get the part remove all the spaces in textedit. Who do you do that?

egon – When you copy the fingerprint from the Virtualrig installer dialog, paste that into textedit. If you look at all the numbers you just pasted into text edit, you will see that there are spaces between some of the numbers – you have to remove these and then save the file with no spaces – thats all there is to it.
How can I remove the file file virtualrig-studio-2.2-trial.jar in Java folder on a Mac. It won’t let me drag it to the trash bin

just replace the file, you don’t have to remove it at all.
For some reason when I hit \Install License…\ (at the end), it’s not letting me locate the xml file. Going to try to reboot and try again. Anyone have a similar issue?
So I got it working but in a very interesting way. After replacing the .jar file with the one in the crack, I had to rename the end of it from \pro\ to \trial\ then I was allowed to hit the \install license\ button and locate the xml file
