iPi Desktop Motion Capture? is an entry-level markerless motion capture technology that literally puts motion capture at animator’s desktop. You can shoot a video right at your workplace using 1 or 2 Microsoft Kinects (or ASUS Xtions), or webcams or inexpensive digital cameras and have it converted to 3D animation on your PC. The technology is targeted at small studios, freelance animators and motion capture enthusiasts.

  3. You need a newer system to run this software, especially a shader 4 compliant video card

    Q: What hardware do I need to use the system?

    A: You need:

    PC with DirectX10-compatible graphics card (supporting Shader Model 4.0)
    Cameras (type and number of cameras depend on edition you use)
    Cables to connect cameras to computer
    Tripods to position cameras (optional)
    Depending on type and number of cameras you may also need additional USB controller

    Manufacturer’s website suggests the program is xp complient.
    However dx10 and hence shader 4 is incompatible with xp.
    I still use 64 bit xp and have no intentions of going win7
    Any suggestions?

  15. If your version is crashing when opening, install XNA if you dident already.

  17. Install DEMO version will install required components. And run this downloaded iPi Motion Capture. That is it.

  20. I installed the iPi demo, and then overwritten with the contents of this here package. without doing this the exe doesn’t even run. now… the program runs, and it sets itself to trial, with just 1 day left, in basic mode.
    so… anyone care to explain clearly how this stuff can be installed successfully? cuz right now its just a mess.

    In addition to a buttload of new features, it has DMX file support.
    Please crack the new version :(

  22. Oh yes … new cracked version would highly be appreciated. There seem to be a load of improvements … Even multiperson tracking is said to come soon.
