In this tutorial we will learn how to create various props using Maya for modeling and UVs. Photoshop will be used for texturing and creative plugins like Ndo2 and Ddo will be used for normal mapping and adding extra detail to our model. We will finish our presentation and testing phase by running the models through the engine and renderer called Marmoset Toolbag. By the end of this tutorial you should have a greater understanding of good practical workflows for creating props.

Creating those assets with all the plugins and stuff, holy crap, in the old days (-3 years ago) we made better looking crap like that with 3Ds Max and GIMP… Heck, you can use Blender and paint, just paste the textures from a photosource on the net.. No, instead they use plugins and applications for 2000$ which you don’t even need, PS and 3Ds would be enough and you’d have a better result.
Tutorialssites, I believe they are starting to feel the burn because 70% of the tutorials are crap made in 1 hour.
