Digital Tutors – Material Creation Workflows in UDK 2013
In this series of UDK tutorials we will learn the core fundamentals of creating materials in UDK. We’ll start out by breaking down the interface and learning how to navigate the graph and previewer. Then we’ll jump into learning the anatomy of the material node and expressions. Once we have a clear understanding of how materials are made, we’ll dive into creating a basic material with a diffuse, specular and normal map. After that, we’ll push our basic material further by enhancing the specular and normal map with expressions. Then we’ll finish the UDK training by experimenting with some really awesome expressions and maps.
