In this course we will focus on the fundamentals of digital drawing .

We’ll begin by learning about some of the basic types of line and the tools used to create these lines. From there, we’ll use both contour and blind contour lines to explore the basic shapes of an object and learn how construction lines can assist us in drawing these shapes. Next we’ll learn what value is and discuss some techniques for creating value using line. Finally we’ll practice simplifying more complex objects into basic shapes so that they are easier to draw.

emFluid3 For Softimage 2010 32Bit & 64Bit

emFluid3 is the successor of emFluid2 and emFluid. It is a fluid solver for Softimage|XSI’s ICE and is typically used to produce smoke and fire effects. …

The plug-in consists of a “DLL” file (Windows) or “so” file (Linux) for the fluid solver node (compiled C++ code for 32 bit and 64 bit versions of XSI). Additionally, there are several compounds that come along. They allow you to plug objects and/or their geometry into the emFluid2 node or compound.
You can use objects or geometry to add velocity, fuel, oxygene, density and heat to the fluid boxes in which the particles move around.
An optimized workflow as well as usefull compounds will let you create great flames and smoke (in real time) in just a couple of minutes!

emFluid3 is well integrated into ICE and you use it just as easily as all the other nodes and compounds in ICE.

-this plug-in runs fine with Softimage 2010 Service Pack 1

Limitations:

-the documentation is a little lean.
-the fluid boxes scaling cannot be animated.

Glu3D is a complete system that makes easy making liquids in Autodesk’s 3dsMax, Maya and XSI. glu3D uses particles to simulate the liquid behavior, and a multi-resolution polygonal surface is also generated to display the liquid surface.

Pwrapper is a surface blobMesh generator for any kind of particle system in 3dsMax, Maya and XSI(not only glu3D particles). Create a new instance of Pwrapper. Then select any particle system through pwrapper command panel and its particles will be wrapped with a poly surface mesh. Modify Pwrapper parameters to change surface look.
