In this series of lessons, we will learn how Softimage can be used to model an appealing, cartoony character in a way that allows for a wide range of movement and emotions when animating. When rigging and animating, it’s always nice to have an appealing character to work with. In these lessons, we’ll cover the building of a simple character with emotive eyes and eyebrows which you can then rig and animate. We will look at methods for building the head, body, arms, and legs and methods for connecting them all together. During the modeling process, we will emphasize the use of proper topology and discuss how topology and edge flow can impact the outcome of the rigging and animation process.

There was some Character Setup in XSI, but sometimes people that upload that confuses with Rigging/Enveloping one(which are 2 tutorials in one) The Character Setup in XSI is a old one that nobody upload before, is well different than others tutorials, hehe, and very very important. The new cmiVFX tutorials for Softimage looks great too. Perhaps we will have to group buy these courses.
Yes, in fact, there are 2 cmiVFX new tutorials that hasn’t been released here for Softimage. The ones i always look for are the 3Dquakers ones. Those are nice to watch a lot of info. There are only 2 of them around the web )= I wish i have a credit card and buy some.

Warning: Be sure to scan all the downloaded files with your Antivirus and if there is an executable or installer file, make sure to have your antivirus active and open in the background while installing or running the app. Some of the materials posted here are downloaded from CGPeers, So they could potentially have something injected in them.
