New Features

Editor
Added MultiSubTex, Gradient Ramp and Bezier curves UI in the Material Editor. Now they
can also be created inside Vantage as textures.
Added 2Sided and Override material UI in the Material Editor. Now they can also be
created inside Vantage as materials.

Materials
Support for ND_dotproduct MaterialX nodes.

Volumes
Support for controlling the Smoke opacity and Fire rendering for the Volume grid object
with new parameters and curves.

Clouds
Added additional clouds density and contrails parameters. For more details click here.

Textures
Download Chaos Vantage 3, hotfix 1
Support for the “random by tile” parameter of MultiSubTex.

Modified Features

Performance
Improved displacement tessellation: reduced excessive triangle count with the per-
triangle option and increased overall speed for tessellation.

UI/UX
Moon, Include/Exclude, and Advanced tab being hidden when Sun is disabled. Now they
are always visible.
Improved Render mode performance. Now the UI interactivity should match that when
not in Render mode.
Adding queue item now checks for same name output in other items.

Fixes

Volumes
Visible fire over the smoke even if the fire opacity curve is zero in “Own Opacity” fire mode.
Volumes incorrectly affect alpha of objects behind them.

UI/UX
Hidden Overwrite file dialog in Render mode when “Always on top” is enabled.
Debug log UI issues.
Labels in drop-down widgets are cut off if item name is too long.
On initial opening of the filter option all available filter types are listed instead of the
actually available scene objects.

Live Link
Vantage not receiving updates in Live Link from 3ds Max when VRayEnhancerData render
element is present. Now VRayEnhancerData render element is disabled, if present, upon Link Link start.
Crash when playing or scrubbing timeline on scenes exported via “Vantage Anim. Export” from Corona

Render mode
Black viewport after completing a queue of sequence offline rendering tasks.
“Save PNG Alpha” option not working on all sequence offline rendering tasks.
Transparent rendering of Objects when both “16-bit PNG” and “Save PNG Alpha” are enabled.
Only first sequence task with render elements saves with correct filename frames,
subsequent tasks write as a single frame.

File
Sequence queue item(s) being deleted upon scene reload from .vantage file.
Animation FPS not stored or recalled correctly from .vantage file
Vantage saves corrupted .vantage files when there are NaN/Inf values to save (e.g. the camera transform)

Denoiser
Glowing in Volumes and Gaussian Splats when switching from DLSS to OptiX.
Black rendering of Gaussian Splats when using Vantage denoiser.

Camera
Crash when closing scene with specific camera setup.
