Well let me add my comments. I followed all the instruction, but kept getting the license problem when trying to start the Maya plug in – fatal error etc. I tried various things, disconnected from internet etc, but nothing worked.

I finally ran the create license keygen again (but did not patch files) and found a “pixar.license” in the 5.0.2 folder where I had only found (I think) a “license” file before. Anyway, I put this file in the “C:\Program files\Pixar\RenderMan-Studio-1.0.1-(your version of maya)\rmantree\etc” folder, started Maya, and plug in works fine.

I tested it with hair and works fine. I did copy the shaders as suggested above post. Works fine with internet connected also.

i test in linux 64 bit with phenom 9850 black and 8 Gig Ram
and work

for multiprosesor use linux in windows not support renderman multiprosesor

– for crack the osx version connect the mac with one pc
– from pc, navigate into Applications/Pixar/RenderMan_Studio
– copy the keygen into the Renderman OSX folder.
– run keygen from pc
– generate the license file (it works because it can read the correct folder path)

When I try to render ANYTHING with Alfred, it says it cannot find the rib file….even though it does exist in the same directory it tells me it is looking that it can’t find.

Can anyone else confirm they have the same trouble?
