Part One
Starting from a low resolution box mesh, the viewer watches as Zack Petroc begins to flesh out the design sculpt of Rambouillet, a character from “Attaboy” – the first book in his sculpted novel series. Stressing rhythm, proportion and gesture, Zack works through a variety of options to find which one best accentuates the character’s personality. The video also addresses the creation of underlying forms and foundation techniques for developing secondary skin fold details.

Part Two
With the majority of the proportions and gesture in place, Zack Petroc continues to refine his design sculpt in “The Making of Rambouillet” part 02. Focusing on subtle character design decisions and form development, this video gives the viewer an inside look into how specific design choices impact the overall character. Additionally, it covers the refinement of skin folds from loser areas to compressed folds.
