KRAKATOA is Prime Focus’ production-proven Volumetric Particle Rendering, Manipulation and Management Toolkit.
It provides a pipeline for acquiring, caching, deforming, shading and rendering vast quantities of particles at unprecedented speed to represent natural phenomena like dust, smoke, silt, ocean surface foam, plasma and even solid objects. Krakatoa? integrates well with Particle Flow, the flexible 3ds Max built-in Event-Driven Particle System, and provides data exchange capabilities for sharing particles with other 3D and simulation applications.

Thanks!
Nice..! Works like a charm. Just want to point this out, for those who use Max 11, same as Design 2011, cause i had a real headache trying and trying since spider released it, and there was no an exact description on how make this work. This is for x64 users:
1. Install the software from this section.
2. Copy the krakatoa.lic to c:\flexlm\ Directory.
3. Under C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMaxDesign\2011 – 64bit\enu\Plugin.UserSettings.ini
Open it with NotePad and just right under the line [Directories], add this two lines
Helium=C:\Program Files (x86)\Prime Focus\Krakatoa\3dsMax2010\x64\Helium
Krakatoa=C:\Program Files (x86)\Prime Focus\Krakatoa\3dsMax2010\x64
4. Save it.
5. Run 3ds Max 2011 or Design 2011 and a new option will appear in the Main Menu under the name Krakatoa. You’ll also find the Krakatoa menu under Geometry, and under Assign Render. So.. have fun :) .. Thanks again!!
Thank you
Hey i noticed this same info was on the Prime Focus site, thanks for sharing. But im having a little trouble with it, i do it all good and i even get the Krakatoa menu button + the option under the create geometry tab but whenever i try to open the GUI or Assign Krakatoa as the Render i get an error and 3ds max stops working. Any Idea’s?
ArCanGeL – i love you *-*

https://cgpersia.com/2010/09/krakatoa-1-6-0-43178-for-3dsmax-20112010-32bit-64bit-8968.html ??
thanks
this one is properly healed by xf0rce
This one works with License file and the other worked with .dlr cracked. How ever, Spider made an optional version instead of .dlr… with some help of other master crackers.. This .lic has an additional line code .. thats all
uhhhh…. fileserve link is FurryBall and not Krakatoa….
I second that !! Do check links before posting.
the installation runs right through until ?publishing product information?. then it fails saying: ?an error occurred during the installation of assembly ?Microsoft.VC80.CRT blah blah etc.?
any ideas what I can do?
I install it but it never comes up in 3ds max? Is this 32 or 64Bit?
