This course covers Python workflows from computer architecture basics to advanced topics.

It includes data structure understanding, algorithm implementation, Houdini Python API, CI/CD workflows, system design, pipeline creation, team collaboration, mini projects (HDA, publisher node, asset ingestion pipeline), GIT, cloud services, encapsulation, security, configuration files, generators, asynchronous programming, threading, multiprocessing, USD, command line utilities, geometry workflows, and an intro to data science.

WEEK 1
Data structures and algorithms, Big O and compiler architectures, containers and how they work with hardware, hash tables, JSON, requests, theory and implementation of trees and graphs, and algorithms like Depth-first search, and breadth-first search.

WEEK 2
Houdini python API, a quick overview, how to create networks/nodes and set parameters, etc, graph traversals, Binary search, Quick sort, Implementing a trie data structure, Caching, the HDA project with a production ready code as a base, install external libraries in Houdini like numpy.

WEEK 3
Concepts of CI-CD, Git and Github, git work trees and production concepts for deployment, Google Drive and cloud services utilities, System design, Pipeline 101, Encapsulation, YAML files, Houdini packages, project: Houdini asset publisher node.

WEEK 4
Intro to some of the most useful concepts for a production level code, such as: Generators, Lazy evaluation, async IO, and Threading, we’ll implement an asset ingestion and configuration in our pipeline, from UI to the end result is a clear structure for materials in Unreal Engine.

WEEK 5
Concurrency, Geometry, performance, TFLOPS, GFLOPS, intro to Flask, intro to streamlit.

WEEK 6
USD python API, USD graph traversals, main concepts of USD structures.

WEEK 7
Intro to pandas and data, plotting data, intro to matplotlib, intro to seaborn, data science utilities.

WEEK 8
AI assistants like GPT integration and MIstral in Houdini. Useful resources for LLms and datasets.
