boxshot

In this DVD Josh Nizzi reveals his techniques for designing robots. He demonstrates his entire robotic design process, from sketching concepts in Photoshop® and creating a rough 3D model in 3ds Max®, to rendering the model in HyperShot™ and finishing the design in Photoshop®, Josh’s approach is particularly valuable in a production setting because it enables the artist to deliver high quality concepts very quickly while simultaneously producing a proxy 3D model that could be used in pre-vis or as a starting point for a final model.

Man Nizzi is such a bummer. He doesn’t even supply the scene files. How the heck are we supposed to construct then?

    • fred says:

if you were smart enough, you would understand that these tutorials are made to teach you skills, not to give you some 3d models.

      • Antons says:

        You got that right!

        • Kris says:

Well, let’s see, you are constructing the bot and all of a sudden he shows in the tutorial these pieces of models which you jabe no idea of how they came about. Im smarter than you buddy so please beat it.

          • Antons says:

Appearently not if you really have no idea how they came about first go some intro to 3d modeling tutorials then come back to this tutorial when you’re ready

            • Kris says:

I criticize Nizzi for not being able to provide scene files for beginners who have purchased this DVD. What point is there really when a beginner gets stuck after 20 mins of the tutorial?

            • Antons says:

Okay no offense and I really mean no offense, if you really are a beginner and you can’t do this you wouldnt be able to do this even if you’d had the scene files. This the the third DVD I got from this website and every time I honestly never even opened the scene files, I personnaly never understood the point, it just points the orginal artist in the position of having his art stolen. And since it’s a robot it will be relatively easy to rig, something I would never want to see with my art a model I spent hours on is some noob doing some shitty animation and lame render of an awesome model and passing it off as there own.

is to learn the modeling method. why need to 3dmodel files come along.somemore is free sources of tutorial. u just a a total noob. stop learning 3d go to ur mama.

Any chance for a mediafire link or something? For some reason and I have no idea why my computer hates both rapidshare and megaupload I can never access those sites.

I agree. It wouldn’t have killed him to provide the scene files.
