If you are just getting started in Blender or have a bit of experience already, this is a great course for you to improve your modeling skills. We are going to create a 3D air conditioner that would fit perfectly in any room or exterior wall for your next 3D computer game in Unity or Unreal. Or you could create a stunning render to showcase your work. I will walk you through all the tools and techniques we will need to use in Blender so you will fully understand what you are doing. And the skills you use here on this model will no doubt be useful to you as you go on and model other 3D objects. So while you are modeling an air conditioner, you could be thinking about how other objects could use the same or similar approaches in modeling.
But we won’t stop at the modeling. We will continue on to use Substance Painter to texture the model. The methods used in Substance Painter will be relatively straightforward and I will explain every step along the way. We will create a very convincing texture for the air conditioner and it will be up to you to decide if you want to keep it a clean and crisp texture or if you are going for more of an apocalyptic feel and want to add dirt and scratches.
