  1. Instalation:

    1.- Update ur Graphics Card Drivers
    2.- Use ?GPU Caps Viewer? just to check that the OpenCL is checked on
    3.-go to :
    ?C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\RT for 3ds Max 2011 for x64\bin\ocldeviceselect.exe?
    Check if ur card is enabled.

    And that?s it.

  2. The Vray version for 2009 is just 32 bits, check the size, its just 67 mb

    On my hardware (i5 or Q6600) 1.5 sp4a is faster !!!!

  10. brute force doesnt seem so slow. but light cache is really slow. i knew its too good to be true

  11. when using the Activeshade, my statistics show the Engine using CPU, why is that ??, i have tryed to change it to GPU but the box is greyed out ?

  13. had a same problem. you had to read more careful – replace cgauth.dll in 3ds Max 2011 root directory &
    C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\RT for 3ds Max 2011 for x64/x32

    first i replaced it only in vray chaos group folder and RT didnt worked. after that i noticed that i had to replace cgaulth in 3dsmax root directory also. that solved it.

    its pretty good version but seems to me it has some tweaking to do

  15. It works fine with Max_2011_X64 on Win-7-X64 and NVidia GTX 460. For GPU-Rendering you have to take VRAY-RT in Production-Render and Engine-Type: Open CL!

  16. Please!. Stop complaining that this needs improvement. I’ve gone through all of your complaints and everything is perfect. Rendering is super fast. In my opinion, its better than Vray 1.5. And yes, light cache fine too. Thanks for this release.

  17. checked it. great stuff! problem i found – when you go to Render settings, switch to Active shade, and choose GPU – it renders through GPU but after image is ready it starts filling ActiveShade preview window with some crappy small and playing with exposure. I believe RT GPU not fully hacked. when i switch to CPU – works with no glitches.
