He shares knowledge and insight that can help a prospective artist land that first job while also avoiding some pit falls that can lead to killing a career before it gets off the ground.

Part 2 – Junior Artist

Course Description
In the relatively small fields of Media and Entertainment, your reputation is critical. In this course, Alex Beddows takes aim at the artists who have just landed their first job. He will discuss how to integrate into a new role with a team, adjusting a mindset from student to working artist, how to survive in fast paced environment, and ensure that a career is built for long lasting growth and success.

Part 3 – Mid-Level Artist

Course Description
In the relatively small fields of Media and Entertainment, your reputation is critical. In this course Alex Beddows tackles the issues facing Mid-Level artists working in the Industry. He discusses some of the tougher issues facing a working artist, such as how to be present and assist junior artists coming up, how to set your sights on the next level of your growth, and addresses critical topics such as avoiding toxic behavior, humbling yourself, and how to ask for what you need…including a raise!

Part 4 – Senior Artist

Course Description
In this course Alex Beddows tackles the issues facing Senior Artists working in the Industry. He discusses some of the tougher issues facing artists in a leadership role, such as being the dependable rock that your team can count on, avoiding toxic behavior, and not “chasing” leadership. He also addresses how to take time to look back at where you came from and give back to the community, as well as taking time to sit back and enjoy life.

Clinton Crumpler leans on his in-depth experience, as an artist who hires artists, to help those looking for their next break get setup for success when it comes to career prep and building an attractive portfolio. Very frequently a bit of reorganization of a portfolio or personal image can make a huge difference to employers and takes only a little effort to potentially have a big impact! In this first part of a three-part series, Clinton discusses establishing an identity, resumes, and portfolio presentation.

Part 2 – Applying and Interviewing

Clinton Crumpler leans on his in-depth experience, as an artist who hires artists, to help those looking for their next break get setup for success when it comes to career prep and building an attractive portfolio. Having a solid portfolio is only part of the formula to finding success as a working artist, professionalism is one of the other crucial ingredients. In this second part of a three-part series Clinton discusses working to get a first interview. He covers making contacts, taking art tests, and how to best communicate with potential employers.

In this final part of a three-part series Clinton discusses landing a first job. He covers some of the things to know about contract and salary negotiations, moving to a new location, and what to expect in the first few days.
