I get a 431 Error and it rolls back.
which one is right Keanu or Madalin ?
Uninstall any previous Max versions, install this one, then copy/paste the fix .exe to install directory, overwriting what’s there.
When I say fix.exe, I mean the new fixed 3dsmax.exe =D so don’t be looking for anything named “fix.exe”
Why uninstall a previos Version, for example 3dsmax 2020? And i see 3 Fix.exe Files. *smile* Wish one!?
In FIX folder, there’s just the fixed exe. You copy/paste into install dir to overwrite, and you’re good. If you get rollback, uninstall Adsk NLM and install the newest version, then try to install this again. I was having issues with Maya due to not having newest NLM version at first, but the method I outline here enabled installation.
I use the no data collection version, but maybe you like a lot of data collection by Adsk…I won’t judge. Max never gave me the “outdated adsk NLM” error that prevented install (like Maya 2027 does), nor do I experience the rollback thing, so if you’re experiencing these things, try uninstalling previous versions.
