We’re excited to share the latest Zoo Tools Pro update, 2.12.4a, which brings a collection of focused improvements to Hive.
This release refines neck twist behaviour and quad leg ankle alignment for more natural deformation, and Rebuild Tools now supports attribute editing, including lock, hide, min, and max values.
The Guide Visibility Manager includes new presets, including a joints-only view for cleaner setups, and blendshapes are now fully compatible with the auto jaw system. A solid round of workflow polish to keep your rigs clean, flexible, and production-ready.
Autodesk Maya updated to 2027.1 and removed Python modules causing hassles for anyone using those Python files. The previous versions will no longer work for Maya 2027.1+.
INSTALL & UPGRADE
1. Download/Unzip the install folder. Do not drag-install from the zip. OSX Note: Unzip to the Downloads folder to avoid permission issues
2. Find `dragdropinstall.py` & drag/drop it into Maya’s main window.
3. A UI will appear. Use the default folder settings.4. Press ‘Install/Upgrade Zoo Tools Pro’. If 2022+ click ‘allow’ in security settings.
