    !! This is what i found about the poster, after everybody was yelling that speed tree isn’t working!! xD

    Here it is:
    you are all doing it wrong!

    1. select a mesh
    2. export selected as mesh
    3. options to choose:
    ………..seperate into individual files
    ………..export geometry by material
    ………..detail textures
    ………..export all
    4. press continue
    5. save

    7. import into max
    8. smile and say sorry

    LOL

    What format are you exporting it at? (3ds? FBX?)

    I have followed your exporting options and it honestly makes absolutely no difference. Meshes still have faces missing. :(

    dont need mesh tree….

  6. Hi… I have add the Speedtree .exe file in the Speedtree beta version.
    All works fine. But After export to obj the meshes have some problems… :S Looks really bad.

    How we should export it?

  9. this is such an awesome program…and still, exporting to obj does not work. Its like posting a demo on this website…went thru all the effort of getting the file…getting ALLLL excited..and then…its exports only parts of this model.
    IT does not work, full stop.

    My operacional system is Win 7 32 bits.

    I just run,it e work perfectly.

    On my win xp dont work.

  11. hey i found a way for beautiful trees in 3dsmax

    export with default settings in a .3ds file
    open 3dsmax click on MAXscripts -> run script and look to \SpeedTree 5.0\Scripts\3ds Max
    run the script SpeedTree Mesh Utility 5.0.ms
    import the .3ds file in your scene
    go to the script an click on speedtree 5.0 extra utilitie -> process selected

  13. If anyone would like a good working copy of 5.0 that is up to date just download and install the Unreal Developement Kit or UDK as it is known. UDK comes with a complete working version of Speedtree 5.0 and it updates almost every month so SpeedTree stays current.

    Someone could import in 3dmax 2010/11 an animated tree by the wind from SpeedTree ? like is seen as the viewport of the program …
