At RandomControl we’re resolute to pioneer the next step in light simulation. To this end we have taken all the expertise we have gathered in the making of our flagship product fryrender and worked on an entirely new technology designed to produce comparable output, but using every single computing device at your disposal. Arion makes use of our novel proprietary multi-CPU / multi-GPU / multi-IP interactive rendering technology.

  • Pass counter next to the FPS counter (calibrated to match fryrender’s pass counter).
  • OBJ tab to select objects by name.
  • Ability to define a color for each object/material for the ObjID/MtlID compositing channels.
  • New ObjID/MtlID compositing channel modes.

Warnings

  • The new .RCS files are no longer compatible with fryrender v1.5.
  • Arion can open old .RCS files + Both apps can read and write . FRY files for back and inter-compatibility.

  2. Missing cudaart_30_14.dll is missing.
    I already dowload the Cuda Driver and so on…
    What can I do?

  3. can i use materials from other render engines. like mental ray
    for example create something and have mental ray material on it, then export it as OBJ. can i still import it into ARION and render through it with Mental ray materials???

  6. Anybody have any idea why i can’t render in higher resolution, for example 3840×2600. Render goes without any problem in low res but when I increase to high i got black screen for moment and notyfication that my screen driver recover after error. Arion splits render screen and it is all messed up. Artefacts all over screen – need to restart. I’ve wrote mail to nvidia about this and we agreed that’s Arion not drivers.

    I’ve got latest video drivers on AMD 6400+/GTX 285/4gb RAM/ Windows 7 64 bit.

    • If you have selected your GPU to render Arion need many of the VideoRAM to work. So the higher your Render-Resolution the more Video-RAM on your Graphiccard you need. If there is not enough it kills the screen driver and Win7`s watchdog make a Reset of the driver and tne Rendering is canceled.

  7. Well, great gift 4 xmas, but, i?ts asks a license, and l put the dll in tools and still ask license…what can l do? Other question, works good with ATI? Thx guys

  8. Thanx for the respond Dirk but my problem is not the computer. I’ve been using Arion earlier before on my Vista 32 bit (Arion 1.0.01 32bit on the same machine – I was using both – GPU and CPU) and have no problem with any render, even in high res. I really was hoping that this Arion update will solve this. I’ve been checking out forums and people have the same issue. Well. Future will show…Arion is a great thing, I have to add..;)

    And abilio – Arion only works with nvidia…it needs cuda and for the licence u need to download keygen to generate it.
