  You have to reinstall, I found out the hard way.
  It will create a second installation of Maya if you do not uninstall the previous and you will have to reinstall the plugins too.

yes you have to reinstall, its not worth it unless you have to do vehicle work. very weak update, watch the Maya SAP video before wasting time. Mudbox update is excellent though :)

This is very messed up, you have to uninstall the previous version of Maya and all the plugins since the new SAP version installs in a different folder, but when you try to reinstall many plugins does not install correctly because they were made to install on Maya default folder installation. And yes I tried to redirect the installation of the plugins to the new folder and did not work.
My 2 cents, does not install until someone figure this out.

Badger. Thanks for the MAC version. I did not install Maya, as I have hotfix3 installed, but instead i installed CraftAnimator Studio. The Craft Animation version seems to be an ols version,incompatible with Maya 2011. Have you any suggestion?
