V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max new features

V-Ray 2.0 for 3ds Max is a complete rendering solution, which combines the power of the distinguished V-Ray rendering engine with the flexibility and unprecedented speed of the interactive rendering system V-Ray RT, now running on GPUs.

To Install:

Place vray.dll and cgauth.dll in your 3ds max root directory. Also, place cgauth.dll in your Chaosgroup/RT/bin directory.Message from my cracker:
Esanti’s group and crazyman would be able to do this if they knew the least about cracking! It’s almost the same protection as SP5, very little was different and they didn’t even know what to look for. Shows how great they are when they need to steal our cgauth.dll from the RT release.Now please tell us, esanti, what do you mean by “stealing our work” — What work have you and your slacking team done? All I see are crappy, non functioning “beta” cracks (using that only as an excuse for “we don’t know how to crack the rest”). Why must we be professional? You’re angry because you’re at the bad end of the stick. We have tons of fun poking at you, seeing reactions, etc. We have fun. We’re software pirates, not professionals. You were unable to get SP4, SP4a, SP5, or vray for maya out without our help.

    I appreciate very much of your hard work cracking VRAY for us, the piracy software user. VRay is most expensive plugin render that I couldn’t effort especially for a student like me. I am using it to finish my mini thesis. I don’t know what else I could say except for: “Thank u, bro! I owe you one”

  11. Does anyone know why my activeshade wont work?
    Am i installing vray correct? Shall i go for workstation installation or stand-alone? more info please. I do manage to load the plugin, both Vray and Vray RT but the activeshade with RT stays black.

  12. Install everything as follows -> Right Click -> Run as asministrator!!!

    It does not matter if you turned UAC off :)

    Well, mey active shade vray rt do not working.
    Says : error 10061 could not obtain a licence…
    But I replace all the files and start to install vray as admin.
    I am at 2011 64.
    What could be worng?

    When I rutn on OpenCL (which I guess is the gpu support) it says unsupported GI is disabled

    I have gts 250

    only work fine with Still cam…

  35. How can New Vue 9 work with Vray 2?? I had Vue working with perfectly with vray 1.5 sp5. And i have readed in some vue page would work with new vray 2. But for me its not working at all.
    I use max 2011 64 in seven 64. Have installed vray 2. Then cant load vue module. Then i reinstalled vue and now can load but in the moment of render i see just nothing from vue objects or atmospheres.
    This is Sad. Anybody know the answer for fix?

  38. 10x for cracking, but this is the crappiest version of vray so far, the rendertime jumped more than 10 times for simple scenes and sorry but it’s crap. hope some1 fix it soon, i’m ack go sp5

  39. ___Regarding the slow rendertime issue___

    It usually doesn’t take longer time to render with this version, but in some cases, with for example the use of many proxies, or other cases, it kills the render time.

    Solution:
    In most cases, it will help to adjust the Dynamic memory limit and the Face/level coef. I you got 4 gig of ram, set the DML to 2000, If you got 8, set it to 4000. F/L-C is by default on 1. Set it to 10. Then try 5. See if you can find the “magic number” (the lowest before it starts to slow down again)

    These settings are to be found under the settings tab, in the renderdialouge box.

    This has increased the render time for me (in one particularly case of course) by as much as 3500%

  40. Btw,
    Someone also had trouble with the multiscatter plugin.

    Run multiscatter unnstall.exe.
    The logfile in the unwiz will may say that all the files failed, go through all the listed paths manually, and check that the mentioned file does no longer exist.

    Run multiscatter install.exe as admin (right click) and install.
    Overwrite your MultiScatter.dlo file in max’s pluginfolder
