V1:

Here you will find bricks, glass, wooden floor, stone paving and much more. 1150 shaders, 500 textures.

V2:

1000 shaders, 800 textures.

Sorry, but please google for information! Can’t risk them finding this, uploading takes forever.

To install:
1. Depends on your max version. Install like a normal plugin. If 2010 or 2011, go to 1b. If not, go to 1c.
1b. If you are using 2010 or 2011, navigate to your “C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\201X – XXbit\enu\plugcfg” folder and open “SME.ini” — change “UseOldMtlBrowser=0” to “UseOldMtlBrowser=1” — Now move to 1c.
1c. Open your max root directory. Take everything in the matlibs folder and add it to your materiallibraries folder.
2. Open 3ds max, menu Customize>Configure User Paths.
3. Navigate to External Files and add the math “-3dsmaxdirectory-\maps\Archshaders_Textures”
4. Press “m” to open your material editor, click on “standard” next to the dropdown to open the material/map browser.
4b. If you were using 2010 or 2011, grats you now have the old material editor! Deal with it :)
5. in the Browse From section, tick “Mtl Library”
6. under the “file” section, click open. Navigate to your materiallibraries folder and select one of the .mat files.

  5. Old Material Editor was the better material editor, I think… Maybe good for new users, but as an old-school Max user, I don’t see any reason to change what I’m used to. ;)

    • you can always revert from Slate by goint into Modes/Compact Material Editor… and you’re back in old-school :)

  9. Thank you a million times, but how about VOL.3 and VOL.4 to Mental Ray? Would be amazing to have those as well!! =)
