Does not work. A dialog box opens and asks for licence to upgrade. If anybody out there can get it working, help me please

I’m sure it works for some but for me on a 64bit Win 7 it’s not working. As a trogenda said, it spits out a dialog box stating the licence has expired. I’ve unistalled and re-installed then updated to SR9 but no luck.

However re-installed to SR8 and it’s fine….

Anyways it should be ok till 5.0….

Same as teardrop3d and trogenda even on XP, the dialog box appears with 3 choices…

The working solution is:
1- Delete rhino.key from main folder
2- Apply patch on rhino.exe (without this one, all the serials are expired)

all work fine!….
[win7 x64 sp1]

1) install Rhino 4
2) generate KEY with the KEYGEN provided.
3) run the Rhinoceros official SR9 as “administrador”
4) copy and paste the SR9 PATCH to the ‘System’ folder inside the installation directory.[rhino_v4.0_sr9_(9-mar-2011)]
5) run the SR9 PATCH as ‘Administrator’ too. [rhino_v4.0_sr9_(9-mar-2011)]
6) First, press the button placed at the bottom left side (‘patch’) and then the one is placed at the right side to close (‘exit’) when patch is done.
…….here’s the trick………

7) run Rhino 4 as “administrador”….if the dialog box opens and asks for licence to upgrade… choose the option 2 (enter a new key).
8) use the KEYGEN again to generate the new KEY.
9) Accept and the program will be open totally registered.

[NOTA:
the next time you dont need to run Rhino4 as “administrator”
next time no longer need to start the program as ‘administrator’]

later you can apply the hotfix [Rhinoceros 4 SR9 hotfix1 2011-Mar-24]
no crack needed
