PFTrack
PFTrack 2011 has been completely re-written as a 64-bit, GPU-accelerated application, allowing scalable performance as more robust components becomes available, while vastly improving processing speeds on modest computer hardware. Significant increases in productivity are accomplished through The Pixel Farm’s distinctive node-based flowgraph architecture. The Tracking Tree allows artists to experiment with multiple techniques in a non-linear, non-destructive environment to achieve the most accurate solution possible. Newly designed Image Modelling tools, with full-resolution Texture Extraction, generate detailed geometry for scene fitting, shadow boxing, and set reconstruction. PFTrack’s per-pixel Z-Depth now supports masks to specify the relative depth ordering of objects in the scene, producing a grey-scale depth map image and triangular mesh geometry. Geometry Tracking now supports deformable groups, allowing a triangular mesh to deform as it’s vertices track a non-rigid moving object, such as an actor’s face while speaking. Extensive image processing capabilities include Shutter Fix for correcting the rolling shutter errors of footage originating from CMOS sensor cameras, Transform Clip for cropping, resizing and rotating source footage, a new Optical Flow node for calculating and exporting dense motion fields, vector-based keyframable Retiming, unsurpassed Lens management, and a host of Enhancement functions for making footage more “trackable”.

PFMatchit
PFMatchit has been released in response to customer demand for a lower entry point to The Pixel Farm’s technology and is the first product to harness the company’s new 64-bit, node-based flowgraph architecture. This new technology dramatically improves the fundamental processes involved in camera tracking, one of the most important areas of successful VFX creation, ushering in unprecedented levels of flexibility, control, accuracy and speed.

PFPrep
From creating dailies through to full DI image preparation, PFPrep has it all. The focused yet well chosen toolset cherry picks the renowned image processing technologies from PFClean to provide the industry’s finest, single solution for prepping footage for all aspects of present-day film production, regardless of content origination. GPU acceleration of the complex image algorithms in combination with integrated batch processing ensures the fastest and most accurate results across footage of any type and resolution, within schedule and budget.

PFClean
When PFClean hit the film restoration community in 2004 it provided the well needed breath of fresh air in a market dominated by technical products that offered little consideration for productivity and deadline deliveries. Delivering many industry firsts such as the unique ‘non destructive’ metadata toolset, completely automated dustbusting and a complete conform/editing toolset, PFClean was quickly established as the remastering and digital restoration package to own, where we lead, others can only follow. 1.Character Design – Fantasy Wildebeest
Neville breaks down the development of character design and drawing into a systematic process that is easy to follow and easy to implement. He starts off with a very free form approach utilizing black/white thumbnails to create strong silhouettes. This also helps to take the edge off of the potential intimidation at the start of a project. Neville shows you how to create plausible anatomy, form delineation via simple primitive shape studies and surface detailing such as skin, wrinkles, hair and graphics.
2.Digital Painting – Fantasy Wildebeest
Drawing on the content from his Character Design and Sketching DVD, Neville paints a quick photo-realistic illustration using techniques employed within Photoshop. He starts off by establishing a color palette and value study by generating a small thumbnail painting. This becomes the foundation for the final illustration. Neville demonstrates various texture brushes and glazing techniques to create a quick, yet realistic representation of animal skin. The lesson reveals techniques for hair and detailing, as well as graphic treatments and color shifting. Neville also shows how to create a simple photographic studio setting for your character.
3.Rendering Eyes
Making eyes appear rich and soulful is critical to conveying character. In “Rendering Eyes”, Neville Page clearly describes a process for rendering beautiful, frightening, or appropriately horrible eyes. Detailing the anatomy of the eye, he explains how to approach the various details that contribute to a natural looking eye including reflection, glossiness, refraction, color, veins, the iris and wetness. Whether you choose to start with an existing sketch, render from scratch, or paint over a rough sculpture ? all of which are described during the course of the lesson ? these techniques are crucial to any character rendering.
4.Rendering Flesh
In this lecture, Neville leads you methodically through the process of creating a wet, fleshy creature. First emphasizing the importance of reference, the properties of fleshy surfaces are deconstructed. Neville teaches how to create custom brushes by sampling from an image, how to define the diffuse, specular and translucent qualities of flesh, and he also provides a thorough reflectivity demonstration. Leaving little to chance or guesswork, through process and technique, Neville illustrates the ways in which he achieves his character?s disturbingly real skin textures
