RenderHeads UVAutoRatio Pro 2.5 for Maya 09/10/11 x32Bit & x64Bit
To get the most out of textures they should be mapped in proportion to the size of the geometry. Not doing so means that different parts of the scene will have different texture distribution, resulting in some textures appearing blurrier than others while some will be overly sharp, making the scene appear inconsistent and strange. Those objects with too much texture mapped to them waste memory and cause aliasing (flickering) due to the overly high frequency of texels.
Artists in the game and film industry can spend hours scaling UVs up and down manually trying to get them to the ideal proportion. This isn’t a particularly fun job, in fact it’s not something we should be wasting our time with. Wouldn’t it be great if this tiresome task was automated?

Why do people use websites like Rapidshare, Fileserve or Hotfile? Do you guys not realize these are scam sites? Sometimes you can download the file, sometimes they hit you with a fake error message (and insist you “upgrade”). Their interfaces are intentionally confusing and full of links to junk. You know how you have to wait x-amount of seconds before the download if you’re a “free user”? That’s just a javascript function written right into the page script. It has nothing to do with the “load” on their servers…they’re such liars, filthy cons. It’s there to *intentionally annoy you*, and *trick you into paying* them for something that’s *already free*! They’re also painfully slow, which is also done on purpose to swindle you into handing over your credit card number and personal info. I think it’s hilarious how Rapidshare calls itself “the anti-waiting company”, yet they intentionally program their website to make you wait unless you pay them, hahaha. That’s like being an arsonist, charging people to put out the fires YOU started and turning around and calling yourself the “anti-arson man”, LOL! As if waiting some-odd seconds is going to somehow “lighten the load” on their server, when it’s just putting off the same load a few seconds later, lol.
It’s just beyond me why anyone uses these scam sites when you can do the same thing on reliable websites, torrents, other P2P networks and even FTP. Why not just use Mediafire? I haven’t used it in a while, but it was always totally reliable, no bogus waiting, straightforward interfaces, fast and problem-free. You can even get a free SVN account and people can easily download all of your work/files for free with no problems.
If you look at complaints to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and government agencies for sites like Rapidshare, they’ve full of complaints by people who’ve been ripped off by them. It just blows my mind how anyone can fall for it or even use it! Then again, I shouldn’t be surprised… After all, people still PAY to have Norton “Anti-Virus” drain all of their system resources and clog their system with their bloated junk… and people actually pay for junk like those “MyCleanPC.com” and “FinallyFast.com” scams… Then they wreck their own computer with crap like this and blame Microsoft, lol! :)
Anyhow… Thanks for the download, OP. I wanted to try this product again before I run out and purchase it for me or my team. I’m a programmer and software designer (not a real artist or Maya-whiz), but IIRC this is the best tool for doing accurate UV mapping. So thanks again!
