10. Here’s what you do for those of you having the installation problems:
    Uninstall all other versions, including the Vue 9 that you’ve probably tried to install today. When everything is uninstalled, it will say that some things weren’t erased, because it didn’t want to erase your stuff. That’s ok. just close the pop up. Now take any version of Vue 9 xStream… I used the (no Crack Yet) one from CG Peers, because I prefer torrent. Then you will get the Activation Screen while Installing.

    For those of you trying to figure out your MAC Address, first off this is because you have to many network adapters on your system. To get the MAC address on Windows open a DOS prompt, by going to Accessories and finding Run, then type “ipconfig /all”, the MAC address is the physical address (do not type the “-” signs in the keygen). That’s your real MAC Address and you’ll be fixed right up.

    I have Windows Vista x64, with 3DS Max 2011 ,and mine is still working. I’ve used it several times today. I hope this helps you guys. Yes Vue is a little buggy, but it does help a lot. For those of you worried about the buggy-ness, then make the part of the geometry you want in Vue (like an ecosystem or something), and then Import it into 3DS Max or whatever Big-Boy 3D Software you use, and rely on the solid coding of their program. That’s what I do. :)

18. for anyone who is having problems with Vray 2 and Max 2011, (empty render window), reinstall vue but do not install update build 9005691, instead install build 9005575 (link below), it worked for me, you still need to add xstreamvray2 in your atmosphere effect window manually (it used to be automatic before :))

    • I did just that, but still got blank screen with Vray 2.002.

      I’ve also made sure that xstreamvray2 was loaded in max environment effect.

      Anymore suggestion for xp64+max2011+vray 2.002?

      • well it should work cos the patch 9005575 addresses the problem with vray 2 and xstream plugin, in my post i wrote that you shouldn’t install build 9005691 but that is wrong, you should install it too cos its vue update only and doesn’t affect xstream plugin. so try installing it, or even moving to vray ver 2.001, it might work :)

          that’s a bit strange…
          so I installed vue9 and its updates.. then installed the plugin update..
          when prompted I choose Vray version2.0.

          Mental ray works Ok, then I switched to vray, I noticed that xstreamvray2 is already automatically loaded in the environment setting.. But still nothing.. black screen…

          Is it because I’m using vray.2.00.02 instead of 2.0? Is anyone one have the same problem? (I’m using xp64+max2011)..

          Anything else? Any more suggestion.. Thanks in advance guys…

20. the Torrent exists already on CG Peers. It says Vue 9 xStream (No Working Crack Yet) get that, and download the keygen from the page you are on right now. Just 2 files, and you have Vue 9. As for the guy who asked for installation instructions right after I gave Installation instructions, go to the bootm of this page, and click “older Posts” find my name, TheDED, and there’s your Instructions, then if you have any problems after that, come back to this page, and look for my name right above your name, and you’ll find out how to fix a few well known problems. Hope that helps man.

21. Oh my fault, I misunderstood, you want to know how to install extra stuff on Vue. that’s actually easy, all you do is go to the Vue Main Screen. Over on the left you’ll see a sphere where you load your Materials. Click the little checker board arrow near the bottom of that small window, and a pop-up will pop-up. Down at the bottom of that pop-up window is a little white square with the corner turned down. like a page being turned. Click that, and find the files with the Vue stuff you want to import, and click OK. It’ll ask you if you want to change the name of the file, because that’s what it’s going to remember it as. Just say ok, and your Vue Stuff will appear in the list. Click it, and it’ll all show up in that window. Do the same for any Vue Assets you have, and Boom Vue is useful. lol I hope this helps.

      Also, I am having this problem that I can’t open any Vue scenes, even the ones I created. I’m using Mac. Do you know what it could be?

    could some one please tell me why vue already comes up with a serial when i try to install it.

    i removed all previous installs and cleaned my registry too

    however i did enter the serial that view comes up with in to the keygen but the resulting activation code did not work it said ”invalid activation code use the one that came with the registration email”

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    • ok tell me that what is your os?
      if you use Win7 Shift+delete this two folder (If you shredder that is better)
      c:(os Drive)/user/*yourLoginName*/appdata/roaming/e-on software
      also
      C:(os Drive)/programData/e-onsoftware
      if xp same folder in document…./localsetting/appdata or in applicationData
      Hope this fix your problem

    Did you possibly try to activate with the license server? I think the keygen won’t work with the license (as in the prior versions) server but only with the nodelocked version of VUE.

    • It does work on windows 7 because it works for me. You must have done something wrong, did u copy and paste it directly from the keygen? If not try and do that.

34. If you can’t figure out how to install it, what hope do you think you have of producing anything remotely good with it? :-P

    99% of all activation problems are due to the mac address.

    Try the different ones and also try “00000000” as mentioned above. You may need to use only the first half of your mac address.

    For the record: Win 7 64 & 32 bits = fully working and EASY to install if common sense is used and instructions are followed.

    Don’t close the keygen once you start either, although you can type in the serial you used to install it if you need to re-activate it or have errors/issues.

    • how about you use your common sense to help me figure out how the software comes up with a default serial even though i have cleaned up my registry after uninstalling all the previous versions
      now the above wouldnt have been a problem if the resulting activation code was accurate. Macc address has noting to do with it since it there is nothing wrong with it it accepts it fine

      • Dondaman, I’ve had precisely the same problem on my workstation. I was able to get a cracked version of Vue7 — one that swapped out a few of the .dlls — early last year, but every XForce version since then has run into the same blasted problem. I’ve tried to be meticulous in cleaning the registry and wiping out all traces of any previous install attempts, but the XForce keygen always results in an activation code that doesn’t work. I know it’s not a matter of using the wrong MAC address — I’ve tested all of that — so my guess is there’s some remnant I’m not finding that’s gumming up the works. I tried installing this release on a family member’s workstation and got a clean install — no problems at all — so the keygen works great … unless, of course, you’ve installed some previous version, or have something else running, that’s preventing things from working properly. At any rate, I’m in the same boat you’re in, and agree that this is horrendously frustrating.

            • Solved the problem! There was indeed some extra stuff hiding in the registry: under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE, there’s a folder called Wow6432Node. Inside of that was an additional e-on software folder with some registry info. When I deleted that (in addition to all the other registry folders marked e-on that have been mentioned in other posts), made sure that the e-onsoftware folder in Program Data was deleted, and deactivated the second network adapter via Device Manager (so that only one machine address showed up when I ran an ipconfig /all) … then, and only then, did I get a clean install with an activation code that actually works. :)

44. To all the Mac guys having trouble installing: Use Terminal to fix the .app.

    Open the installer with right click “Show Package Contents”.
    contents/macos/
    Now open Terminal…Type: chmod[space]+x[space]
    now drag the “Setup” file to the terminal window and hit [enter]
    Just the Setup file, not the other one.

    Now close that window and reopen your install .app

    Do this for every file you need to install. For some reason when Win-PC computers .rar the files the permissions get stripped out of the install Apps.

      • I’m not sure why it’s telling you “permission denied”. Check your account and make sure you are administrator. If you not log-in as admin. and try it again. make sure you put the spaces in the right place too.

        if it still tell you the same thing. Try this…

        “sudo chmod +x ” copy and paste this(not the “quotes”) it will ask you for your password, type it in. You will not see it. (it’s a unix security thing)

        and hopefully it works.

          An error occurred while decompressing folder “Documentation/En/Vue 9 Reference Manual.pdf”.
          The installation will stop. Please check that:
          -You have sufficient free space on your hard disk. (This cannot be because I have 800 gb of free space)
          -No anti-virus or similar application is interfering with the installation.
          -You have sufficient administrative rights to instal software on your workstation.
          Please make the necessary changes, reboot your computer and try running the installer again. Should problems persist, contact e-on software.

          I have a 21.5″ 3.2ghz Intel Core i3, have it for like 2 weeks Im actually login in as administrator, what should I do? Should I try to login as root user?.
          I used to have Vue 8.5 xStream installed in my mac like 5 days ago and the whole plants/objects libraries didn’t install it. It was telling me something about permissions too.
          Hope you can help me and please forgive me if Im not using this blog in the proper way, if theres another web page, blog, forum where you can help me I will be very grateful. Thanks for your patience and forgive my english, Im latin.

45. i’m installing for the first time vue 9 on my system win 7 64 bit..there are no old unistalled release…when i insert serial code it doesn’t work…Like “Meltdown” says i’m searching these folders but i’ve not understand which are…i’ve disactivated first “MARVELL YUKON 88E8056PCI E gigabit ethernet controller and then i try with “MARVELL YUKON 88E8001/8003/8010 PCI gigabit ethernet controller, but the serial created by keygen is always invalid…Is there a specific procedure that i have to do? Can anyone simply explain where is my error…thanx a lot!

      I didn’t uninstall Vue. Just left it installed. If you delete the Vue 9 xStream.reg file that is all you need to reset Vue’s registration dialog.
      So:
      1. Find and delete ‘Vue 9 xStream.reg’. It was in my c:\Users\All Users\e-onsoftware
      2. Open up Device manager and find your network adapter. Right click and pick Disable.
      3. Once disabled, run Vue 9. It will pop up the box where you paste in your key and info but don’t do anything yet.
      4. Run the keygen. It will give you an error about bad mac address if you try to generate a key.
      5. Go back to where you deleted ‘Vue 9 xStream.reg’ and it will be regenerated by the Vue startup.
      6. Open that reg file in notepad and copy the random mac address Vue put in the file and paste it into the mac address in the keygen.
      7. Generate your key/activation using Vue’s random mac address.
      8. Paste those into the Vue dialog boxes.
      4. Vue should start up. Did for me.
      5. Re-enable network adapter if needed. Otherwise, just leave it disabled for the whole time you run Vue.

      That’s all I did and it worked.

      For all x64 users here. I?ve been poking around in the Vue9 files to get it activated on my x64 system using the keygen provided by xforce. Same as others here i couldn?t get it to work, until ?

      Here?s my solution :
      – Open the ?Vue xStream 8.reg? file in the folder ?C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\e-onsoftware?. The first lines will look like this :
      $ROOT$
      $MACHINE$
      [SOFTWARE]
      [e-on software]
      [xStream]
      [9]

      Now, make sure the application is not started, change the last [9] to [2] and restart the application. It now asks for a new password and directly after that the activation code. This time it worked fine using the xforce activation keygen ;-)

      Hope it works for you guys too.

    Question: I’m trying to open the .vue files that came within the download or another .vue files and it seens that the Stream doesn’t open it. Is that only something that works with the Infinite version?

    I don’t understand the diference between Stream and Infinite since both can be integrated with the other softwares like Maya, Max or Cinema 4D.

    I saw that the Infinite could be installed as well, but we didn’t get the Keygen for it. Does anyone have it?

49. Why dont this ever fucking work on mac bad activation. I’ve gone to ethernet and have input it but know don’t recognise that one. every time . I’m on a dual core imac 3 years old so how do I get this to read the ethernet only or mac address what ever you call it!

50. sorry for my language sorted it looked at the reg in users and opened it in text edit and put the right ethernet address in as its saved a totally different one and it activated once i put in the activation code
