In this set of tutorials we’ll explore how use phases when working in Revit 2014.

We’ll start with a remodel of an interior space. We’ll see how to set the demolition and new construction phases of a simple interior renovation. We’ll also explore how phases can be used for large scale projects as well; starting with foundations, then structural members, a roof and even the building envelope. While creating each building element we’ll learn how to set and name each phase of construction as well as how to adjust the graphic display of each phase.With these tools and concepts, you will gain a solid understanding of how to use phasing for managing and coordinating each milestone of your construction project.

In this series of tutorials we will learn how to unwrap 3d models for games.

While the foundation for UV mapping is the same for film, with games there are a series of challenges that come up more frequently. To get started, we will discuss the main goal of unwrapping our game models
and begin exploring the main projection methods for applying UVs by unwrapping a low polygon sword. From there, we’ll learn how to overcome some of the most common challenges faced when creating UVs like rocks, normal maps, and modular assets all the while practicing solid UV layout workflows.

In this set of tutorials you will learn how to use MotionBuilder’s advanced and intuitive animation tools.

We’ll start by learning how to load files into MotionBuilder. We’ll then get comfortable with it’s navigation and transform controls. From there we’ll learn how to Set our Preferences, work with it’s View and Display menus, and learn a few ways we can align and parent objects, along with learning how to use its Transport Controls for playing back our animations. We’ll then become familiar with it’s powerful animation tools, while learning how to create takes, and switch our key interpolation types.

We’ll jump into MotionBuilder’s FCurves Window and learn several ways we can modify a keyframe’s tangent, which allows us to polish our animations without cluttering our function curves with extra keys. We’ll learn how to retarget animation, add to our animations with the help of Animation Layers, and learn how to create animation cycles from Motion Capture.To finish the training, we’ll learn to use MotionBuilder’s Camera Switcher to create camera cuts that can be previewed directly from the software, as well as how to export our work out of the application. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll be equipped with the foundation you need to work comfortable inside of MotionBuilder.
