HOW TO INSTALL VrayforC4D 1.2 R11.5 on a Mac:
(intel only)
1. Open C4D.
2. Go to HELP > Personalize (if you can’t find this choose “standard” layout on C4D)
3. Copy CINEMA 4D SERIAL NUMBER (first under Registration box on the right) Example: 1234512345
4. Quit C4D.
5. [OPTIONAL] Check your CINEMA 4D R11.5 folder (applications/MAXON/) is in state read/write: go to this folder using finder, apple+i (or click More info under the icon or right click/Get info) and click on the lock on this new window. Enter your Computer Password and change the state to read/write. Leave it unlocked. Do the same on CINEMA 4D R11.5/plugins/VrayBridge. Mine was locked, so yours may be too.
6. Unzip “VrayforC4D_1.2_R11.5_OSX_32-64.zip”
7. Open the installer “VrayforC4D_1.2_R11.5_OSX.pkg” and install. Close when finished.
8. Open the “xf-vray12.dmg” and digit the C4D serial you copied on step 3 and press Gen keyfile. Choose to save on “Applications/Maxon/CINEMA 4D R11.5” folder.
9. Now for the trickiest part:
Select this “VrayBridge.key” file and select it via Fider: apple+i (OR click “More info” under the icon OR right click/Get info) and click on the lock. Enter your computer’s password and change the privilege of the file to Read & Write.
10. Done.
If you want to check if its there just open C4D console (On “standard” layout choose window > console OR press shift+F10) on the last line will appear “VrayForC4D OSX 1.2.0www.vrayforc4d.com”
It will appear also on Plugins and on Render Settings.

I followed your Instructions step by step and vray shows up in the plugins list and under materials, all the tags are working too. But when I hit “render” nothing happens, I tested this with several scenes I made with 1.1 and R11, but nothing. The funny thing is, vray 1.2 and R11 is working but not 1.2 and R11.5. :-/

Yeah! It took my a while to figure it out…:/ I used suffix expander to select all the .r00 files 00 to 07 (which were in various folders) *Only select these files…no other shit* (I dragged all the r.0X files into one folder…and them into suffix expander. This will compile another folder…which has the installers in…its quite an arduous process but definitely worth it…
Hope that helped…If anyone one else has tips…share the advice love people

Well… a lot of people seem to have trouble to unpack the files:
I use UnRarX or TheUnarchiver. Both free. Google them. Sometimes this unarchived files need to be unarchived again. Keep all files organized in folders! at the end you’ll get the installers or whatever you need.

Hey, i really feel like an idiot. I can see that basically eveyones got it but me. I have a 32 windows mac partition, i have c4d 11.5 on the windows part, ive tried every variation of what you guys have written and when i load cinema i can see it loading vray bridge but when i open c4d the plugin is not in the render settings or in the plugins, i dont know what im doing wrong, if someone could post a step by step tut on how to do this i would be eternally grateful.
please help , i have windows vista everything updated, i place libs32 files in c4d main folder also vraybridge.cdl and SetPATH.cdl in the main folder .The rest, vray_plugins32, res and settings in a file in the c4d plugins folder then i run the crack in the main root folder ..but nothing happens what am i doing wrong ?

ok, here are the steps for PC users
1. when you unzip make sure you unzip the vraybridge thats appropriate for the version of c4d that you are running, there are 3 options 10.5, 11, 11.5
2. Copy and paste the contents Libs32 (64 depending on your system) into the cinema 4d mail folder (the one with the cinema.exe)
3. Copy and paste the Setpath.cdl and vraybridge.cdl into the main folder
4. place the vraybrdige folder into the plugins folder
5. run the crack and place the key into the main folder
and then your done!
is this also working for Windows 7 64 bit?
everyone expects something extremly difficult.. as i did too.
people, don’t think, just follow this instructions, as written!
it works on 7, 64 bit.. and copy the whole “vray bridge” folder into the c4d plugins folder!!! i needed 10 min. to realize it. its simple :D

I have needed, like SVK explain in his post, unlock main C4D folder and plugins too, but I have saved directly “.key” file inside main C4D folder.
For me this “5 step OPTIONAL” has been obligatory.

Ok figured it out…and got it fully working! Thank you SVK for a great step by step for installation…getting the installation file was a nightmare…
I used suffix expander in the end and selected all the .r00 files 00 to 07 which compiled another folder…of which the .pkg was in… why not just rar that final folder is beyond me…such a great crack and such a poor upload…
Anyway moan over! Cant wait to use this! Thank you everyone! Choas group when i get paid for my work i’ll buy your expensive software ;)

I got it… finally… was so simple… wish I could have known to simply copy the VrayBridge folder in the plugins and then to fire up the x-force keygen to create a key file… and then to move that keyfile to the root of c4d… simple…

hey. lucky i jus figure it out myself. anyone if u have privilege no access unchangeable problem. u jus need to go to “get info” again. click the “plus” button at the bottom left and add “administrators” to the list. change to “read/write” for the administrators and place the key file to the c4d folder. then it will work. it works on my, so gud luck
JUST GOT MA SHARE OF THE VRAY FOR C4D R11.5 V1.2. HAD A HARD TIME EXTRACTING COS I WAS USING POWER ARCHIVER BUT I SWITCHED TO WINRAR AND I GOT IT WORKING.

when I use WinRar there are many other files to be unzipped…I am assuming the program is in pieces?? How do I ‘assemble’ them? When I try and double click on them O get WinRAR diagonostic messages and can not get the thing to run smoothy…any help??

Works like a charm. I couldn’t get it to work at first but then i realised i was entering the Cinema 4d r11.5 code into the keygen. DONT .
Enter the first ‘CINEMA 4D’ registration code into the keygen and paste the key straight into the main cinema 4d file and it should work =)

Probl?me pour installer le vraybridge. Voici la proc?dure que je fais :
Je vais dans le dossier principal Cin?ma4Dr11 puis dans le dossier pluging ou je mets le dossier vraybridge avec la cl? et quand j’ouvre cin?ma4D Je n’ai pas le plugin dans render. j’ai tout essay?.
Voila la raison de mon ?nervement, d’habitude je n’ai aucun souci pour les plugings.
J’esp?re davoir ?t? assez clair dans mes explications.
Alors la proc?dure ? effectuer:
1.Comme tu l’as d?j? dit. T’as copi? le dossier VrayBridge (version R11) dans le dossier Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins.
2.Maintenant tu ouvre le dossier Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins/VrayBridge/Libs32 (si t’as SE de 32bit) ou Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins/VrayBridge/Libs64 (si t’as SE de 64bit). Copier les 5 fichiers .dll dans le dossier principal (Maxon/Cinema4D r11).
3. Puis tu ouvre le keygen. Tu rentre le cl? de ton Cinema4D. Et tu sauvegarde le fichier VrayBridge.key dans le dossier principale (Maxon/Cinema4D r11) et pas dans dossier “plugins” comme tu l’as ?crit.
Normalement ca devrai marcher.

I have isntalled it, it says “sucesfully” but although I see it in the Cinema4d folder, when I run the program is not in the render settings menu or in the plugins menu.

I follow all steps so works fine in my MacBookPro but in my MacPro doesn’t works. Both under Snow Leopard 10.6 and C4D11.5
First time I run C4D after installation in MacBookPro it CRASH !!
Second time works fine, but in macpro first time doesn’t crash and never works.

How can uninstall it completely and try to install again?

I have needed, like SVK explain in his post, unlock main C4D folder and plugins too, but I have saved directly “.key” file inside main C4D folder.
For me this “5 step OPTIONAL” has been obligatory.

Ok figured it out…and got it fully working! Thank you SVK for a great step by step for installation…getting the installation file was a nightmare…
I used suffix expander in the end and selected all the .r00 files 00 to 07 which compiled another folder…of which the .pkg was in… why not just rar that final folder is beyond me…such a great crack and such a poor upload…
Anyway moan over! Cant wait to use this! Thank you everyone! Choas group when i get paid for my work i’ll buy your expensive software ;)

I’ve installed vray 1.2 on C4D 11.5 on windows 7 64bit but it doesn’t work. do i need to update also the C4D updates (ex bodypaint etc) in order to work?? because when I launch C4D it says “Initializing Plugin VrayBridge”. But then nothing happens.

I got it… finally… was so simple… wish I could have known to simply copy the VrayBridge folder in the plugins and then to fire up the x-force keygen to create a key file… and then to move that keyfile to the root of c4d… simple…
No Access on VrayBridge.key on Mac. anyone know why?

hey. lucky i jus figure it out myself. anyone if u have privilege no access unchangeable problem. u jus need to go to “get info” again. click the “plus” button at the bottom left and add “administrators” to the list. change to “read/write” for the administrators and place the key file to the c4d folder. then it will work. it works on my, so gud luck
JUST GOT MA SHARE OF THE VRAY FOR C4D R11.5 V1.2. HAD A HARD TIME EXTRACTING COS I WAS USING POWER ARCHIVER BUT I SWITCHED TO WINRAR AND I GOT IT WORKING.

when I use WinRar there are many other files to be unzipped…I am assuming the program is in pieces?? How do I ‘assemble’ them? When I try and double click on them O get WinRAR diagonostic messages and can not get the thing to run smoothy…any help??

Works like a charm. I couldn’t get it to work at first but then i realised i was entering the Cinema 4d r11.5 code into the keygen. DONT .
Enter the first ‘CINEMA 4D’ registration code into the keygen and paste the key straight into the main cinema 4d file and it should work =)

1. U have vraybridge folder. Inside, COPY: Libs32, vray_plugins32, res, settings, setpath.cdl and vraybridge.cdl TO main folder.
2. COPY vraybridge folder to plugins folder
3. Use keygen to generate the keyfile (u should use CINEMA4D key not CINEMA4D R11/11.5 key)
4. save this key (vraybridge.key) in cinema4d main folder

At first I was searching the plugin under Render Setting -> Effects…
But instead it was under Render Setting – > General -> Render Engine…
1. Open C4D.
2. Go to HELP > Personalize
3. Copy CINEMA 4D SERIAL NUMBER (first under Registration box on the right) Example: 1234512345
4. Quit C4D.
5. Copy VrayBridge folder in to MAXON/CINEMA4D R11.5/plugins
6. Copy the files who are in VrayBridge/Libs64 in to main folder (MAXON/CINEMA4D R11.5)
7. Open Keygen as Administrator. Enter a C4D serial number and generate a file. Save it in main folder (MAXON/CINEMA4D R11.5).
CA NE MARCHE PAS VOTRE TRUC !!!!

Probl?me pour installer le vraybridge. Voici la proc?dure que je fais :
Je vais dans le dossier principal Cin?ma4Dr11 puis dans le dossier pluging ou je mets le dossier vraybridge avec la cl? et quand j’ouvre cin?ma4D Je n’ai pas le plugin dans render. j’ai tout essay?.
Voila la raison de mon ?nervement, d’habitude je n’ai aucun souci pour les plugings.
J’esp?re davoir ?t? assez clair dans mes explications.
Alors la proc?dure ? effectuer:
1.Comme tu l’as d?j? dit. T’as copi? le dossier VrayBridge (version R11) dans le dossier Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins.
2.Maintenant tu ouvre le dossier Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins/VrayBridge/Libs32 (si t’as SE de 32bit) ou Maxon/Cinema4Dr11/plugins/VrayBridge/Libs64 (si t’as SE de 64bit). Copier les 5 fichiers .dll dans le dossier principal (Maxon/Cinema4D r11).
3. Puis tu ouvre le keygen. Tu rentre le cl? de ton Cinema4D. Et tu sauvegarde le fichier VrayBridge.key dans le dossier principale (Maxon/Cinema4D r11) et pas dans dossier “plugins” comme tu l’as ?crit.
Normalement ca devrai marcher.

\\ Installation pour Mac intel seulement \\
?1. Ouvrez C4D.
?2. Menu : HELP > Personaliser (si vous ne le trouvez pas choisissez ?standard? layout dans C4D)
?3. Copiez CINEMA 4D SERIAL NUMBER (le premier dans la fen?tre d’enregistrement ? droite ( Registration box on the right) [Exemple: 1234512345]
?4. Quittez C4D.
?5. [OPTIONNEL] V?rifiez que les privil?ges de votre dossier CINEMA 4D R11.5 (applications/MAXON/) sont en autorisation Lecture/Ecriture: Pour ce faire > Pomme+i sur ce dossier & clicquez sur l’ic?ne cadenas en bas ? droite de la fen?tre. Entrez votre Mot de Passe administrateur de votre session (le mot de passe de votre ordi quoi…) et assurez vous que tout est sur Lecture et Ecriture. Laissez le cadenas ouvert. Faites de m?me sur: CINEMA 4D R11.5/plugins/VrayBridge !
?6. Dezippez ?VrayforC4D_1.2_R11.5_OSX_32-64.zip?
?7. Ouvrez l’installeur ?VrayforC4D_1.2_R11.5_OSX.pkg? & installez. Fermez une fois fini.
?8. Ouvrez le ?xf-vray12.dmg? & copiez le N? de s?rie C4D copi? ? l’?tape 3 puis pressez : Gen keyfile.
Choisissez de l’enregistrer dans le dossier : ?Applications/Maxon/CINEMA 4D R11.5?
?9. Maintenant la partie un peu “tordue” mais simple:
Selectionnez le fichier ?VrayBridge.key? qui est apparu & via le Finder: Pomme+i & clicquez sur le cadenas.
Entrez votre mot de passe de l’ordi & changez l? encore les privil?ges du fichier par Lecture & Ecriture.
?10. Et voila !
Si il vous venait l’envie folle de v?rifier si il sont l?, ouvrez la console de C4D (Dans la pr?sentation Standar choisissez : Fen?tre > console OU BIEN shift+F10) ? la derni?re ligne appara?tra : ?VrayForC4D OSX 1.2.0www.vrayforc4d.com?
